Saw her at a free city sponsored concert on the 4th in Albuquerque about this time. Albuquerque gets some good free shows - Joan Osborne, Los Lobos, Rosanne Cash, Robert Randolph, Irma Thomas, Tommy Castro and the Painkillers, The Wailers, Morris Day and the Time, Ozomatli, and George Clinton.

I adore Joan as much as anyone else BUT... think she looks "not so great" (being polite) in recent years and I think part of it is that she still wears the same make up look that she has always worn. None of us look the same as we did 20 or 30 years ago and we all need to realize that and embrace that fact and not dress and/or wear make up that demonstrates a denial of our own aging. I was at the foot of the stage in Merriville, Indiana to see Joan in 86 and a girl next to me says, "I think she likes you, she keeps looking right at you"... that doesn't cloud my view of reality which is that Joan now looks like a caricature of someone named Joan Jett from 30 years ago.
I jave sll the respect for Joan Jett😍.....but i think Lita Ford plays better than Joan....ive never deen Joan play a solo..always rythem.But she IS A BADDASS...
