@@coldvoid idk what youre smokin, this is new for the Vinyl. Which was first released on its own in 2020. The cassette is the same as the CD back in 1999. I listen to my cassette almost everyday in my truck.

The Beginning is different to the cd release. CD's has the cd-normal stuttering. how cool is that detail!

I love this album. What is the reason that the quality is so good here? A record = analogue, and there are much better ways to play it yet this sounds amazong.
It has to do with the compression rate of the record itself. Try recording one of these or a cd onto a cassette tape, a nice type of cassette one, and you´ll also see a great difference in sound. Compression rate.Analog is less compressed than digital data ,
Nothing sounds better than vinyl. Especially if you have a real quality turntable and headphones.
Anything that meshes organ and rock music together is A-OK by me.

I have the original bloody kisses cd with the two ladies kissing on the front cover the paper foldout version!
That's the digipack release that came out the following year. It includes "suspended in dusk" that they were previously too embarrassed to release. They also removed the filler/FX and faster songs.

It’s a tracking light. See the marks in the platter. Kinda like a laser level.

@@xerotonin6776 Oh, no way man...Virgil's (CT/UK), Frostie (IL), Maine Root (ME) Bundaberg (AUSTR), and Fitz (MO) are the best rootbeers available out here in Illinois (always go with cane sugar...non gmo if possible). That high fructose corn syrup crap is full of pesticides, etc. Hopefully, you can find a few of these in your area...order if you can!!

No, World Coming Down was not recorded all analog in the studio. Not that it matters or should it have been. "Studio Quality" Digital is far superior to analog in both bandwidth and dynamics. What vinyl can reproduce is laughable by comparison at a technical level. But that doesn't take away the experience of a good album.

@@brandontennyson5732 There is no one size fits all answer. Depending on what needs to be done audio-wise one is preferable over the other. For the sake of argument, I'll keep this basic and focus on this WCD consumer release. The studio master is a digital file. If we are lucky, it's 24bit/48k, but from this era of recording and knowing Systems Two and the mastering house, it was most likely archived on 1630, Mitsubishi X-80, or Dat. Good chance 16/44.1 is what we are really dealing with. But that's fine; still better than what the Vinyl format can reproduce in both the dynamic and frequency spectrum.
Now why do people like Vinyl? Many reasons, but to stay on track with audio fidelity, many consumers will have a better listening setup (both hardware and environment) for their Vinyl collection vs streaming from the closest smart speaker or computer. There are more variables than I am willing to discuss in a comment section. Still, as a mastering engineer myself, digital audio as a recording and playback medium is superior in every conceivable way. Yes, that includes sounding better.
