    Quick question?! Why didn’t you use the anti squat cross member?
    I got a 72 c10 used the same bolt on air bag kit
    To go lower on the rear I did a big step notch and used 4” lowering blocks along with the bags sits really low for a bolt on kit BUT!! Broke my driveshaft in half due to that trailing arm cross member !
    I’m just trying to see what’s my best option for after market trailing arm cross member

    Im new to the air bag world. What shocks do you use? Thx

    If all parts were provided how much would you personally charge to do this on a 72 C10 as well as raise the fuel tank that's already installed in the rear?

    Do I need to relocate my shocks on my c10 if there close to up & down as well as my rear sway/cross bar? Should I get a shorter one?

    After it's all installed and the shocks are on will the shocks be strong enough to keep the axle from falling out or do I need to put some kind of stop strap on there to stop the axle from going down too far when lifting the truck up on a lift?

    • @RustnAway
      @RustnAway  2 года назад

      Shocks should be fine as long as they are not too long. I personally don't like a lot of weight "hanging" on the airbag, so I normally put jack stands under the axle to support some weight if I'm leaving it off the wheels for awhile.

      @@RustnAway so you don't have any kind of limit straps to stop the axle from dropping too far? if you plan on putting it on a lift you have to use jack stands to keep that axle from going too far? I guess the question I'm trying to get at is do I need limit straps all the time or just when I'm putting it on a lift.

    • @RustnAway
      @RustnAway  2 года назад

      Just when you’re putting it on a lift. As long as your shocks aren’t too long you’ll probably be ok using the shock as a limiting strap.

      It won’t lay frame but will be close. Check out bluecollar_c10 on Instagram. That’s the owner. He runs both 22’s and then stock 15s.

    • @RustnAway
      @RustnAway  3 года назад +1

      I always use the RE-7’s as they fit most applications and then I always have an extra one or two around in case I need them.

    My front end on my 66 c10 is off a 72 c10 so I have disc brakes... has anyone bought a bag system from bagit.com? They sent me plates for top & bottom "bolt in" but no bolts for it & alot of work...please let me know!

    • @RustnAway

      One of the worst places to get stuff from unfortunately. If you can return them I would. Then look for a different company.
      If you can’t, you can get bolts from Ace or another hardware store. Just make sure to get Grade 8, so it’s strong enough.
