@@flutterbaws9579 i mean small modifiers and basic synergies for replayability and meta strategy is a pretty universal basic feature, and i am glad if it's used more. The genres that don't quite fit the formula just have to find their own way of using the basic components.
@@dmarsub I definitely agree. What I enjoy most I think about roguelike adapations of different genres is how such little changes can make an otherwise linear game into a 40+ hour experience. Like Slay the Spire which had such simple presentation, use of items, cards and relics and isn't even that long, yet you end up playing 100s of runs and never really feeling like you've hit a wall.
Holding the ball between your flippers is hard to get used to at first. It sounds deceptively easy and it kind of is, if you simply freeze and do nothing, the ball won't drain. Everything changes when the enemies get close to your flippers, however. Excellent game - I'm hoping the shot tracing goes away in higher difficulties.
I could spend literally my whole income on games you spotlight.
There's a roguelike for every genre these days.
It's become something of an experimental craze to see what works. Honestly there are some solid ones that come out.
in the future there will be a rouguelike game of tic tac toe

I would love to see this become a series
Reminds me a bit of Wizorb or Rollers of the Realm.
I am intrigued by this game

Why do you pronounce Xtranout as Zatronout?
I thought it was gonna be more like the older Rollers of the Realm game. Apparently not.
Well, I don't hate it.
