Sh. Modi's biggest contribution to MEA is finding a person like Sh.Jaishanker at the helm of affairs. Very clear in his thoughts and delivery. No bravado, but a silent operator. I have no doubt our countries interests are in a safe hand.
Before Mr.Modi 2nd term, he was seen as a crisis manager in layman term acting as a foreign secretary with exceptional foreign diplomacy knowledge and also he is a close circle trust person in Modi's political spectrum along with NSA Ajit Doval. In a way I knew he's going to be as EAM before Loksabha election.

I am very impressed with his diplomacy skills shown approximately in more than 25 countries during the service of the Indian Ambassador.

This anchor is criticising instead of doing his job but our minister has given very much clear and polite answers
that is the problem with most Indian's who have become Anglicized beyond repair be it by immigrating to the West or studying in a Western school etc.
The Minister too respects Mr. Saran. Every interviewer must be tough but fair; this also allows the respondent to shine through his answers. But I guess you'd prefer sycophants like Akshay Kumar to conduct all interviews.

If I were Jayashankar, I would have asked the journalist, "why should I answer your questions, if you are not interested in my answers?"

Raja M If you watched the inaugural session of Raisina Dialogue 2020 on 14th you would have not written this down. Dr. Jaishankar also knew he was asking a good question. Samir Saran and EAM has a good chemistry in such dialogues.
@KAPIL AZAD look I have watched many interviews of Samir Saran and 3 with Dr. JAISHANKAR. I can tell you with absolute satisfaction that if you feel he was being rude, he was not. Maybe the tone went wrong for some but intention wasn't to mock him. He is a senior fellow at ORF, those people are very organized and civil. I don't agree that he was being rude intentionally. But I respect your opinion.
@KAPIL AZAD ORF has been mostly positive on the Kashmir issue and if you listened that one of his correspondent is from NDTV then I should tell you one of their correspondents is Kanchan Gupta and one of them is Dhruva Jaishankar.

I wish to know if there is a mechanism in inviting the honest views of the Indias Overseas Diaspora on the perceived change of India's image.They too our Indias ambassadors of India with a valuable voice.

Bang on spot! We never dared do anything that we thought would undermine our image as a "tolerant", "liberal", "secular", "socialist", "" democratic" country. We concerned about our image, not about what is good for the country. PM Modi is changing that. He does what he believes is in national interest. Partition was the best thing that could have happened to the Muslims of the sub-continent. Quaid-e-Azam Jinnah had tremendous vision and he foresaw what the Hindus would be up to after Indian gained independence from the British. Mr. Jinnah was proved right. Just see where BJP and the Hitlerite RSS is taking Indian Muslims and other minorities to. God save the Kashmiris and the Indian Muslims.
