    That is a straightforward lesson and I truly appreciate it.
    I do have a request if possible.
    I am trying to learn OpenSSL encryption and decryption method with tar. Can you, please, shed some light on this topic as well?

    Explaining the difference between Archival & compression was a Good thing. But you shoud have shown how both can be done together uzing the z argument.

    the tar -xf tarfile.tar command did not dispplayed the files, but ls did so why to use it

      "tar -xf tarfile.tar" means -> extract (x) the file (f) tarfile.tar. Atleast this is my interpretation. Why should it display the files?
