Thank you for sharing! As Juan Diego's voice has matured over the years, so has his charisma and stage presence. To be fair, I understand that, given his origins as a one-man band in his mother's Peruvian pub, he probably always had those things, but I feel that in his vocally mature years that he's become a real "maestro," somewhat in the way Pavarotti once was.
He has the most exquisite voice, a lovely sense of humour and his pronunciation in all languages in his repertoire is incredibly clear. I’ve seen him live 4 times now and the work he does for sinfonia por el Peru demonstrates what a good man he is.

We heard these two at the Salzburg Festival last year, it was totally unique, we have heard many Liederabende by different famous singers over the decades, but we have never experienced anything comparable to this concert, Florez is so special, not just in his vocal mastery, but his musicality and expression and Scalera is also such an amazing accompanist and pianist. Thanks for uploading, I wish I also heard that one live!
