Thank you! Been on Bus since '99. First listened to "fillers" back when I was heavily into Dead tapes '96-'98! Round the wheel was first song I ever heard, hooked ever since. Cant get enough of these magicians!
We fell in love with String Cheese back in August 1997 when you played three days at the Fountain Plaza Stage at the Oregon State Fair around the food court. Our friend Jason video taped the show you got copies along with photos of kids dancing on the small stage. We went to lots of Oregon shows, greatest memories of Wild Duck in Eugene...We started our video crew in 2000 with a crew from Eugene. Very Grateful and Thankful for all the early Cheese shows. You inspired us to video tape lots of bands.
🖐🏽. Yep. Remember fillers? When trading dead tapes, if there was still room on the tape people would include a “filler”. It could be a few choice songs from the same band, or it could be of a different band. That’s how I first heard of Sci. Few songs at the end of a gd tape. I still remember it. There was a version of little hands w/ Darryl anger. I was instantly hooked. Good memories
Similar to how I first heard them. I traded some Phish and Dead with someone and they tossed in a tape of Cheese. I was also hooked. A funny thing is the tape was just labeled SCI, as many tapes were, and it was weeks before I knew the bands actual name. I remember telling a friend about this new band named SCI. Very good memories.
Fell in love w SCI @ E Forest 2012. Love learning about the cheese history, thanks for sharing! 🧀💛
Love these, thank you! Would really love to hear a story about the early days at Oregon Country Fair and Shantytown.
YOU'RE beautiful, Kyle. thanks for all the good times and sweet memories 🏔️ 🌌
