If we r applying test retest method to check reliability then close difference in test taker's score is acceptable but ye difference kis limit tak acceptable hai for the test to be reliable?

Excellent lecture on reliability sir.
I have one question u mentioned that cronbach's Alpha less than .70 means if it is .60 or .50 is not acceptable but Nunnally 1969 published his book and mentioned the acceptable range of reliability is .50 to .60 and I have also read in many researches so how could we say that it's not acceptable kindly give some explanation
@Arooj thanks for your words.. usually it is relative... in social sciences it is considered as weak reliability, when less than 0.70... it may be acceptable less than 0.70 in other cases..

Sir I know that .70 is acceptable range of reliability in social sciences but if we eliminate poor item through factor loading in CFA and even though reliability is less .55 so how could we justify in viva bcz u told that people will point out on ur research that why it is less then .70 kindly sir explain

@umekulsoom... It's not maths or IQ test...we use in to test the reliability of a questionnaire in research... Where there is no right or wrong answer...we just want to see whether the respondants give the same replies or not..

@@KokabManzoor but sir, if i am testing the predictive validity of HDI measures for different countries, then doesn't it mean that i am looking into the reliability of the measurements by seeing how consistent the hdi measure has been
So isn't it almost same that way
