Problem? What problem? They are solving problems in their own community without support from government. The government can't keep the lights on, they find a plan. There was nothing there, they built from the ground up, as a community. They don't expect anything from the government, they know there is nothing to expect. They still pay their taxes, and in addition they pay to build their town.
Rather than trying to suggest that it is a problem, look at what they achieve. What prevents other communities from achieving the same? Especially the communities that voted for this government?
Take the beam out of your own eye before trying to remove the splinter from your neighbour's.
