Ever since his adolescence, Adesanya perceives himself as an underdog clawing his way to the top against evil adversaries. It made him feel special. Du Plessis shattered that narrative; in truth, Adesanya is just another rich kid who walked a painless path to success. I think that's why Adesanya got so shook up over seemingly nothing.
