- You can grow millet budgie food from seeds you already purchased from the pet store. They grow really well in pots in the greenhouse or on your window. Foxtail millet lacks some essential vitamins and nutrients it should be mixed with other budgie food for a complete healthy feed.

I'll have to try growing my own millet for my babies! :D It's pretty easy to grow as you said, as I always put the old seeds out for the wild birds to eat & I've noticed every once in a while, millet will grow in my flower box. The birds always eat it before I can harvest any for my babies, so I'm going to try growing it inside for them. :D

Grow some millet for seeds, but the majority for green grass vegetable. Just ensure that you cut high enough so you don't have any soil on the leaves. I grow all the bird seeds to have more variety including alpiste, wheat, oats, canola, wild broccoli, chia...
Don't forget to give calcium block because those veggies are high in oxalate

Also if you’re growing the millet sprays outside bugs and spiders might get into it and might give the birds cancer or other sicknesses. I recommend leaving the millet sprays in water for 15-20 minutes and repeat that twice, I hope your bugdies live a long amazing life!

Hi Alex i have been following your channel your almost v three years i love all your videos👍😚 and you are amazing kind hearted person 😍🤗❤️i love you and your birds a lot 🐦🐦😚😚😍😍.. i need a major help from you please help me..i have two budgies .. female and male.. one and half months ago my female budgie one day started to sneeze lot and do hiccups often regularly .. she always hiccups and sneezes at night all the time ...i couldn't sleep because of Her noise.. i thought this behaviour will disappear as days passed.. but it's been one month now it's still didn't leave her she is struggling lot i really need you to help me.. 😭😔😢 because of this she lost lot of feathers and she looks weak and dull feathered all the time however she eats well she poops well she drinks water but she always sneezes and hiccups i think it might be regurgitation but m not sure what that means... Before a month ago when this initially happened i thought she swallowed some sun flower seeds and it got stuck in Her throat .. that's why it's happening like this .. but now i feel it's something else. .. i even tried touching Her throat from outside... but i couldn't do anything to help Her.. Her shedding of feathers also spread to my male budgie who was perfectly healthy good looking and was very active but it's been two weeks now my male budgie is skinny and had lost feathers and looks dull too i just want them to survive please i need your help maN 😰
You need take your budgies to the vet! They sound like they're very sick. I hope it's not too late & they get better!
@@kirabowie yesterday one of my love birds attacked my female budgie she went into shock and recovered .. and the hiccup thing stopped yesterday ..my budgies are the poor thing they always get attacked by my bigger birds two love birds and over kakariki i feel bad when seeing them suffer
@@vishnupriya.2729 I would not keep a lovebird or any bigger birds with budgies as budgies, while feisty, are much smaller and could easily get hurt or killed in an attack by a bigger bird. The only bird I would keep with a budgie that's bigger is a cockatiel as they're very gentle birds. So I would get another cage for your budgies & when your birds out of their cage, let the budgies out by themselves and make sure they're safely inside their cage, before letting your other birds out. :D
@@kirabowie actually i do have separate cage for budgies but the thing is when i let birds out i let all birds outside in room they play eat drink and do mischievous stuffs but budgies get attacked by kakariki and love birds lot of time.😥.i do have cockatiel like you said my cockatiel are gentle towards budgies it's like my male cockatiel is acting like brother to my female budgie 😇

The best thing you can do let the budgies & your cockatiel out separately from your other birds, so they don't attacked. It's not fair to the budgies to be constantly picked on by the bigger birds when they're all out together.
Preferably, put it on the top of their cage. It’ll be inspired to see your friend sweating hard to get its much desired snack.
I tried but my budgie never eats vegies and I have to give it millet everyday. Someone pls help😔
Reduce the amount of seeds you give them, maybe three times a day a specific amount. Then replace one the seed meals with veggies and leave it in the cage.
