She had to go through hell to get this relationship. If I were her friend when they were teens or early 20’s, I’d have told her to leave him, no doubt. Her line “that’s not your daddy, that’s the devil in him” is so deep. She was able to see what nobody else could, and held on for that, it certainly paid off. My wife and I have been together 11 years, married 8; I know she’s the one, we get along so well and set a hell of an example to our kids in what a relationship should look like. Hang in there, I promise it’ll happen if your patient and don’t try to force a relationship that’s just not there.

@@xbatman9649 nowadays people give up because its too easy to do so. No one is fighting for eachother anymore. just letting go out of ego and not being able to forgive or offer help.

My grandmother saw my grandfather in 10th grade. He was gorgeous like Phil. She said she took one look at him and said: “Im going to marry him.” They we’re together 62 years.
As someone who has lived across the river from Phil and Kay in Bosco, ramped my boat at their house, duck hunted in Degraffenreed brake by the Robertson boys, worked with John Godwin at Riverwood, and met Phil several times: he and his family never cease to inspire me and bring me back to Gods peaceful place in these evil times. God bless Phil, Kay, the boys and Godwin.

@@edsparks2791 Very cool man. God is good. Travel down to West Monroe sometime and see if they’re at the factory. Even cooler would be to put your boat in at Riverton and motor up the river a few miles and see Phil’s place up in Cypress creek. If I still lived there, I’d take you, but the good Lord led us up to south Arkansas a few years ago.

This made me cry. I missed it! They love each other SOOOO MUCH and they love the Lord even more. And look at their lives! What an awesome God we have. Praise God. I'm really happy for them and for all the people whose lives have been changed by their faithfulness to God.

I absolutely love the testimony of this family.
The way Phil looks at Ms. Kay, you can see the love he has for her. This is definitely the epitome of a perfect marriage.
They remind me of my grandparents
They remind me of my parents. Married 53 years with 14 children 42 and counting grandchildren and 16 and counting great grandchildren. When Mom passed last year dad told us to him she looked the same as the day they met. They just always looked at each other as teenagers look at each other. God knew what he was doing when he chose them for each other.
Miss Kay made the sacrifices early on and has continued to throughout the marriage. She is the glue that holds the family together.
Jesus is the glue that has held them together, by God’s grace He works through each them but it began with Ms Kay submitting her mess to the Lord. How many marriages could be saved?
I can listen to their story over and over and still, God teaches me something. God, thank you for Phil and Miss Kay.

This is what marriage looks like when you prioritize God into your marriage & make Him a part of your daily l7ves together. You become more understanding of one another and are not easy to anger with one another. Most married couples don't even realize or know how much of an impact that their own marriage can actually have on their children growing up or how much of what they witness in their own parents marriage impacts them growing up & witnessing their own parents behaviors throughout their marriage impacts them & in most cases determines what kind of marriage they will also have later in life. Most good marriages are based on the premise of putting God first in their marriage and of course that has a major impact on the future happy & healthy marriages of their own children & the blessings of what they learn will be past down throughout their future generations to come. That is what God can & will do for any married couple as long as you invite Him into your marriage.

Phil has said, "I still see Miss Kay as I saw her when she was about 15." That's the key. I totally understand that.
I'm 37 years old and relationships like this don't exist anymore because everybody has loyalty issues and would rather fight with each other then for one another.
Oh, they do. Just farther between. Married couples need to be nice to each other. Help each other out. Remember why you fell in love to begin with! 30 years with my husband. A relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ makes all the difference.
Lots of important lessons here. I believe my ship has sailed but their example warms my heart to know there is still this kind of love in the world. I love this family 💓

Wonderful story. Yes, Satan breaks many marriages up through deceit, temptation, flattery and sense of entitlement. I witnessed it in my ex wife after 2 kids and 17.5 years of marriage. Sometimes you just have to get the wickedness out.

I am already in love with this series! YOU WILL KNOW THEM BY THE WORD OF THEIR TESTIMONY?! I love the transparency of this family, the fact that the sin isn't swept under the rug. This is what the American church is missing. There has to be transparency! If we walk in that, we will walk in the supernatural,the book of Acts is for today.
I love this family. They are living proof that God can move and work in the midst of the most difficult circumstances. and Ms Kay choosing to stay with Phil despite his drunk and abusive ways. She stayed becuase she trusted God and prayed for Phil everyday.

I am dealing with a heroin meth addict who is my true soulmate and the love of my life. I had to let him go because that is what was best for me and the kids. There's not a day that goes by that I do not pray for him and wish that he would find his true self, forgive himself for all his own wrongs and find God again. You give me hope that he will change one day and I will never stop praying. You guys have guided me so much back to my spirituality and faith in God. I could not thank you all enough. I have so much love for you all.

I have different beliefs than you guys, however, I love to listen to you guys talk. The love you have between you is absolutely precious. My husband and I have went thru similar struggles. We are both clean and sober and have been for a few years now. The difference in our relationship is night and day. He is absolutely my best friend. Thank you for being such good role models and showing that things can get better and people can move past hurt in relationships and last.

Videos like this get me right in the heart and remind me of how big of a total piece of trash I was and how I threw away the longest, deepest, most amazing relationship of my life, all because drugs consumed my soul... opiates man..up to Heroin. Heroin will take every single last thing you’ve ever loved or cared about or have sentimental value towards and there’s not a damn thing you can do to stop it from taking and taking until you have nothing left. People who say “just stop” or “just say no” when you’re already that far gone is a joke. You’ll sell or steal from the one you love most in this world just so you can get through another day without being dope sick. Dope sickness is like 100x mono or 1000x flu with some added in symptoms like restless legs and stomach cramps so bad you think you’re about to die from the level of pain. I’ll be clean this next Wednesday for exactly 2 years now, and it’s an amazing feeling, but no matter what I do I can’t turn back time and get a redo with the woman I loved for 8 years. Some wounds just can’t be healed man..
