If you are thinking about a good new processor and motherboard combination, the 9700X + Asrock B650M HDV/M.2 + 2x16Gb 6400MHz CL32 is currently the best deal. For 1440p gaming.
I built my pc using used and broken parts. I got a 4070ti for $350 and a gigabyte aorus master X570 for $50. The 4070ti just needed the memory re-soldered and the gigabyte just needed a clear cmos. I also scored a montech 360mm aio for $30 and 16gb DDR4 4000 for $20.
I just sold my previous motherboard and CPU+RAM combo that was a B550 with a 5800x3d and 32gb of ddr4 3600 for $350, it was gone 3 hours after I posted it on Facebook. I can't believe I got more for that than the 14900k deal you just picked up!!!Amazing how cheap you got that 14900k combo! Insanity!!!
That is a bargain I would jump at in a heartbeat. Over here in Japan the 5700x3d only in stock new for USD 295.00. 14900k is USD 507.00 new. The deals are out there for sure.
You should get yourself like a photon 2400W inverter power supply that you can take in your vehicle when needing to do testing on the road. Then have a portable monitor and you can do a quick boot test before leaving if you aren't sure? I used to run starlink and charge and run drone operations in Africa using one of those power supplies with a land cruiser taking power everywhere.

Your 14900k deal was really mega. New prices here in Germany are out of control. Since everyone wants the x3d cpus, the price has risen massively. 7800x3d for 525€ ; 9800x3d for 750€; if you need more cores, 7950x for 474€; 9950x for 674€... a 12900ks actually doesn't look that bad for 299 €, was once 283 € (for 2 months). The 7600x3d costs 289€... is now in a good "light"... before vs 319€ for the 7800x3d in the summer... no one gave it the chance... now people are buying it.
Make sure you update the BIOS on the 14900 MB so it can never burn CPUs anymore. You can thermal cam the TR MB and the shorted part should glow for an instant before the short protection kicks in.
Got to say, I'd _always_ strip and check that all pads are present and correct on a multi-100W GPU that's been apart unless I was 100% sure whoever worked on it knew what they were doing.
I think the whole "new market dropping and this affecting second hand" is kind of true - I don't think people who are selling always aware of the new price. Even showing them what the retailers are selling a newer (more modern) card for cheaper, they often don't budge. From the Market side, I haven't done this last year, but I had a huge influx in the last few weeks and all 4 got sold, however, other people in the similar market said it was a little slow, so it seems to be waves (most of the sales were also unrelated to X-mas shopping)

The sca brake and parts cleaner plu: 240 code: sca100 you used to use was also made by MMP industrial and not sold anymore. It could be fixed with voltage adjustments even before Intel released the update. Even a degraded CPU can work fine if tuned down. The whole issue was blown wayyyyy out of proportion by social media.
no, 13th gen if affected by the oxidation will not be fixed, if the cpus alreasdy had overvoltqages and already got damaged, will not be fixed with a poorly done patch if damaged or compromised, they must be replaced, no patch goes back in time and repairs damages, it can only prevent the future damages, hopefully intel screwed buyers bad this time
I'm looking at your deal conversations with long responses from the seller, and I would like to ask: why don't you ask for a phone number to contact them when you're in the area?
the corsair ram not working isnt the fault of the pc, its memory compatibility, try a different motherboard, preferably intel since corsair is more tested on intel
Yeaaa.. I would never buy a used mobo. It can be weeks.... months before you find out that there's something wrong with it and it starts blue screening... Maybe your psu spikes to 300W but then one day... it just randomly spikes to 301W and it BSOD. The first 10 weeks since it never spiked to 301W you never noticed. Now you're screwed.

I have now secured b new Asus Proart x870 with damaged box for 344.99£, Corsair H170i 420 LCD for 159 new half price and new Domitator Titanium 64GB for 209 saving about 50£ 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I have the same Asus TUF design but 3080ti. Not impressed. It's too weak to take constant 400w load even afer replacing thermal pads with hq ones- Still exceeds 96° on the GDDR6x after a while
when is the next 100$. budget flip episode
Lifetime warranty on ram. I’ve sent ram back that I bought used.
intel 13/14 gen is now fixed with new bios update
Not really.
So they say
It could be fixed with voltage adjustments even before Intel released the update. Even a degraded CPU can work fine if tuned down. The whole issue was blown wayyyyy out of proportion by social media.
no, 13th gen if affected by the oxidation will not be fixed, if the cpus alreasdy had overvoltqages and already got damaged, will not be fixed with a poorly done patch
if damaged or compromised, they must be replaced, no patch goes back in time and repairs damages, it can only prevent the future damages, hopefully
intel screwed buyers bad this time
I'm looking at your deal conversations with long responses from the seller, and I would like to ask: why don't you ask for a phone number to contact them when you're in the area?
Get kimchi without the corn syrup and all the crap in it

I just bought a 4060 for $250 aud and built a white gaming pc with a 3500x, 16gb ram, 4060 and selling it for $950 aud
the corsair ram not working isnt the fault of the pc, its memory compatibility, try a different motherboard, preferably intel since corsair is more tested on intel
Edging to this rn 🎉

In my experience the tuff coolers on the 30 series were almost as bad as the zotac ones, f tier coolers imo
