Already thinking about new video named something like "poor man's showcases" - they will be made with minimum tools and without any expences for materials ;) Just need some time for production...
Curious what type and width of wood you used for the frame and shelving. Looks like the shelves are thinner and wondering if you could get away with something a little thinner. Diy wife looking to make a display for my hubby 😉. Great job by the way. Looks great! Oh yeah do you think I can get away with using a dremmel for the groves?
You should build from what your local stores have. Exact sizes are not important too. The same about tools - your head and hands will make everything you want ;) Just try it and you will be happy
I have to congratulate you for your work!!! But I’m looking to do something with more of just household tools not expensive machinery that I won’t use ever again would you be able to help me with that?
Displays were made with museum-glass doors. But with terrible mistakes of construction. So I decided not to install it. Several years we used those shelves for public meetings and expositions of local collectors and it was good enough even without doors. Now we presented displays to a friend and are planning new ones. Bigger, with dust protection and etc. ;) Stay tuned!
Due to the building processes were inside the flat (where my family is placed on daily basis) it took me about a week or two - I worked only when it was comfortable for the others. In a garage or at normal working place I suppose it can be done in 2-3 days. The cost of material depends on what you already have ;) Materials are really cheap. The question of price is closer to the tools you have - it can be expensive.
Have no time for video shooting and editing right now because trying to earn some money for museum production ;) Be sure there will be more videos - the only question WHEN ;) Stay tuned!
Each shelf is pretty close to 4.5cm of height, 4cm of depth and about 50cm of length. The thickness of each "floor" is 5mm (to have a chance sign the number or name of the model in future). Good luck with your own building projects!

Sure! It gives you so much pleasure and fun - to see the model as it is. And remember - we are building the museum of die-cast cars. No one would like to see the cars through plastic ;)
The 0only problem is that they look like something someone built instead of something you would want to display your cars on. I hope you can understand what I am saying.
Regina arredondo I love the idea of not having spaces because some hot wheels car are bigger than others, so I ended up not having space for them. This one is was just what I was looking for. 😊
Super cool shelf bro.
Great work. Thanks for the video
Hey, thanks! That was really clever! 5:55
Nice job 👍
I missed the point where you cut the grooves for each shelf to slide in. How was that done?
Sorry for missed parts. It was made by router. But it can be any kind of saw too
I'm really impressed with your How-to videos...well done :)

How about a glass or clear plastic door to keep off dust????

Wow! Hammer skill level. Pro.
I wish to be the same level of video operator too ;) Thank you!
I could add a sheet of clear perspex to keep the dust away!
Many mistakes were made in a very first experiment with the shelves ;) We will clear the dust question in our museum’s shelves. Thank you!
Very Cool !
very cool
Cool little tool for the nails you used no more purple nails lol
Thanks to Ikea sets of furniture ;) Just saved it once and use for eternity!

Do you make them to sale?
No, I do not sale it. Yet ;) I am working on a better solution!
Good video but why with your skills didn't you build your own wooden shed? 5:34
You didn't show how you cut the groves for the shelves
Yes, lost some shooting materials, sorry. It was made on hand router
What kind of wood you used on the process
It was the plywood. Just use what you have at your house or nearest store
How long did it take to build, and at what cost for materials?

Sorry for the delay with answer, we missed your comment somehow. It's self-made track for our channel. We're glad you loved it!

Cool.. but too much work.. plus you need all the right tools.. better off buying one already made.
That's awesome,You can buy?
Those shelves were made for prototyping our future museum’s exposition. Not for sale.
you open your treasure hunts?

Nice work , a table saw would make it easier. Music annoying at best...
Collecting dust.
No music would be better
DIY? I don’t have more then half of the tools?
Not a problem! You can ask friends for tools or try any other type of shelf we showed on our chennel
