It's good that you checked the ESR of the caps. I'd also suggest inspecting the leads as well. The light blue or violet Panasonic caps tend to leak electrolyte down the legs. It will be a fuzzy blue/green color. It's an old video, but hopefully this helps out the next guy
So I'm on Kadena AB OKinawa JP BX tech rep. said we had to wait 3 months for them to finish them .and i went on to purchase the M-4 and waited. my best friend still has it and they work fine .
@@luvradios yes that's exactly. I never know the Allen wrench measurements to remove the knobs... I have a lot of them, but none of them fit in to remove the knob Thanks for replying and have a great day!
Honestly, I dont know the exact size of the one I used, back in the day I bought a small Japanese set for vcr’s & camcorders , they weren’t individualy marked so I have no idea which size fits those knobs.
just got a Integra Research RDC 7 preamp (40 lbs) 4500 new but paid 400 in mint shape. Anyone want a C4 in great shape cosmetically, just needs phono stage repaired, ill do 250.

Yes, I have changed tons of the corroded ones in other videos, I must not have noticed anything with these.

There are some notorious VD1212 diodes that get noisy in those units. A pair of 1N4148 in series makes quick work of them.
Nice video, I have the exact problem. However, do you have a part number / specifications for the replacement lamps?

Which key did you use to open up the main front panel switches? I have tried so many keys but none of them worked at all.
Thank you very much indeed!
Thanks for watching! Are you talking about the Allen wrench used to remove the knobs?
