there are times when you think music is what defines you and lets your spirit escape your flesh. and then you listen to songs like this one and boom: you know nothing. you cannot describe what you feel because your brain and reason can't handle anything greater than what i mentioned above. that time is when you feel lost and little under the weight of melody and at the same time you feel your soul and mind larger than the entire universe, equal and stronger than any god and your existence one step away from ultimate perfection, knowledge and completeness. and the very next second when the last note end that feeling is gone twice as fast as it came and for that one fraction of a second, this tiny moment, your entire entity's only reason to be, is just to find that feeling again and get lost in it, until that's the only reality. this is when you understand a piece of music is good, this is when you understand that some songs are something greater and more meaningfull than just melodies.

The cinematography in this video is excellent, especially the wilderness shots. Finland is a stunningly beautiful country. Also, nice B.C. Rich Stealth, and Tuomas is that an Amfisound Routa you're playing? If so, perfect choice of guitar, and brilliant idea playing it on the song "Routa". Cheers, brother!

I know it's Tuomas actually playing on the album, but I was wondering about the drummer in the video. I know Ukri has played with Before The Dawn for a while, so I wondered if he was playing in the video, and maybe even in the live line-up.
Really great work, beautifull and brutal \m/ Really brings the feeling of a fantasy story, with ice giants and direwolfes, on a really cold and dark place, but at the same time really beautifull and uplifting; That's what it sounds like to me ;)

Tuomas, earlier I said, that the snare drum sounds a little bit too loud for me, but now I've gotten used to it and I'm enjoying every bit of this album. Keep up the epic work and I'm looking forward to another album. :)

When I heard The Hunt I was really dissapointed. In my opinion it's a mediocre song made by great songwriter. But Routa is something else. A masterpiece! I hope there will be more songs like this on the album.
