What makes it particularly annoying is that their designs are great, and I’d love their cars to be available.
Then wait until they go flop and have someone really serious about Making EVto take over.
Their designs are literally the only thing of value they have. When Bill Collectors and Regulators come a’knocking they’ll sell them to the highest bidder.
I want that wolf
Right, I'd trade my R1T in for a super wolf if they were actually selling them.
I mean, their cars look gorgeous, at least!
Well, their renders do, anyway. Their cars have a bit of an existence problem.
@@robertkirchner7981 ???what do u mean? They have multiple vehicles that were built and shown in car shows/ driving videos.
Nice concepts China can use to make them become part of reality.
@@robertkirchner7981So does the Mona Lisa and literally every piece of art as well. And don't get me started about the outdated art forms called religion and astrology.
Pretty trucks keep on truckin' while haters be hatin'
As soon as they receive the money, they cut off all communication, and if you continue to contact them, they treat you as a stalker and harass you.
the two tesla employees are real -- not sure the quotes are, though
Indeed! Alpha literally has a video with the Tesla exec on their channel.
I regard this episode as.a.comedy one.
i really like the bollinger with the cargo tunnel through the center
When will Bollinger sell a vehicle? Any hint?
FIRST LOOK: Alpha WOLF electric pick-up truck - cooler than a Tesla Cybertruck or Rivian R1T?
Top Gear
ruclips.net/video/VnshCBwi0E4/видео.html
That's where I first saw Alpha, too!
TOP GEAR Approved🤪
Thanks for introducing me to this brand! Their trucks look incredible😍
I want one so bad
Same 🙉 Best looking EV
I love the retro look. There's no other EV like this, I need it now.
Yup I just like the truck. It's just a young startup but, they're already making driving cars on their own. Not everyone understands that it's a significant difference compared to Tesla, Rivian, or Lucid. Like, rivian took 10 years to make their's.
I'm patiently waiting@@davidepnzr
3:29 Their investment only went live in December 2023... It's been less than a month! Did they really 'ask for money' for 2 years🙄?
Liza minelli liessssss
🤓
The first round was in Jan 2023. So only 1 year not 2.
That one also closed before May (i think) so, not even a year🥸Plus, when people sign up for a company Newsletter, they want to hear about such announcements🤷
I appreciate your fact check :)@@jimhigens5464
What batteries are they using ? What motors ? Where is the factory ?
All great questions. I am wondering the same thing.
The hood (bonnet) looks pretty long. Why? It's rear-drive, so there's nothing for them to put under there. Or is it just a big empty frunk? Looks to me as though their "prototype" is a modified older Toyota Hilux with big fender flares and some custom fenders etc. designed to hide the Toyota styling.
Usually, if somebody requests money from you and puts pressure/timeline on you, there's something fishy.
This sounds just like Lordstown and Vinfast I’d stay well clear fella.
Vinfast actually makes cars, and sells them to actual customers. There's a dealership in Ventura. This company is nowhere close to that!!!
@@joegibbs2508correct. The have sales rep here in Canada. Setting up show room. I tried to ask if Alpha will come to canada or I will have to jump through the hoop to bring one over. No response. That is too bad.
So you both bought one of the models then, that’s awesome which ones did you get ?
Aptera is the one that cracks me up. A truly aerodynamic EV is a great idea. But those people have spent decades taking deposits and producing essentially nothing. Last I heard they may have as many as 8 hand-assembled prototypes, period. That's enough for EV shows, I suppose, and that's what they built. They are even producing pretty videos of the color-coordinated car-camping tent accessory, and touting all of its snazzy features, but actually producing cars for their customers seems to elude them.
Aptera Motors was formed in 2019. They are now talking Q2 2024 for deliveries. I'm not spending money on anything they do. I'll wait till they have gone through production and then reviews and a reliability test period before I even think of buying from them.
So why don't you share with us your insights about how you would start a car company without asking for investment from outside the company. Perhaps you think it's easy to just start making thousands of cars within a few months with zero money in your pocket, just because you have a design and an intent to produce it. Both fundraising and development of a supply chain takes not months but years to achieve. If Elon Musk had not stepped in with his $200m after he sold his share in Paypal, Tesla may never have succeeded. Likewise, Aptera is applying for the same ATVM loan that Tesla got, and if that application is successful, that will give them another $100m or so which will make it more likely they will succeed. The automotive industry is hugely capital intensive, especially these days with all the technology that's involved, it's not like making something simple like furniture or some small widget, because of all the government regulations involved. That's why many of these startups fail, but I believe Aptera is the least likely of all the startups to fail, as they have good partnerships with companies like CPC, Elaphe, Maxeon and others in the supply chain, and have the most successful crowdfunding effort in the history of crowdfunding.
Aptera started in 2019. They have been very successful using crowd funding and have some dedicated small investors who have kept things moving forward. And about 46k reservation holders. CPC in Modena Italy is about done with the tooling for the body components using there SMC process to produce the bodies. Reportedly The are going to build production intent vehicles for crash testing and validation in the first half of this year and start low level production by the end of the year.
@@humanresources3545 Aptera is actually going to have Production Intent vehicles undergoing validation testing by Q2. The earliest shipping vehicles are more likely to be the very end of 2024 or early 2025.
A $100 refundable deposit (or $70 with a code from an existing deposit holder) can get you a place in line and there is little risk in getting one.
I don't recommend investing, though, unless you are committed enough to what they are doing that you can consider it a donation.
There is no comparison. Aptera has paid for their production tooling and is on the verge of building 16 Production intent vehicles this year to use for validation testing.
Alpha has renders and a mock up.
it looks pants to me. Pressure sales last minute deals = Alarm bells ringing run away. Don't go there
It's just standard sales technique s
This video deserves to be updated. Alpha Motors continues to fundraise using their beautiful renders, but nothing else of substance. Everybody should beware!
would like a car like that but this seems like a scam. small is good but it should have more cab and better towing.
Thanks for the heads-up! Great content as always. Cheers!
I remember a year or more ago, there was two guys on here promoting “their”truck. One was a taller thicker fellow w glasses and the other was a shorter average build fellow. I don’t see them in the pictures of “staff” so what happened to them? Or is the whole thing a sham? Sucks because I did like their vehicles.
The fingerprint of a sham EV company so far has been to file copyright strikes against negative reviews by RUclipsrs.
Hey Sam, why not just BLOCK the idiots, and report them as scammers to your ISP / mail provider ?
You Tube Clicks?😊
We were scammed by them for 4 million.
They need billions which is why they keep asking for money. Their vehicles look good and maybe they get bought out. I just want vehicles like this to be made. So, I gave them some money. If I lose it, oh well. But they aren't going to get anywhere without capital, and the only way you will see such a vehicle is if they get bought out or get the funds to put it into production. Or they can go the Fisker route if they manage to keep development costs down. The main issue Fisker is facing is paying off their development loans. They are making money on individual sales.
Yeah, I don't think I'll sell my house to invest yet. 🤠
Scam or not the truck looks like something I need
And what do you know about Canoo EV's - Bulldog Pickup, etc?
That's what I'm talking about! Canoo has the truck I want.
At least Fikser is now delivering cars to the public. and they seem to be a good thing
Nikola Motor 2.0 😂😂😂

Thanks Sam for maybe saving some unsuspecting folks
Yep, sounds like a scam. I had a similar situation with a publisher. Wanted me to send my manuscript, uncopyrighted, right away. When they learned I was gonna copyright and ISBN (library) list first, they stopped calling and e-mailing...
🚙ITS THE NEW NIKOLA BADGER PICK-UP‼️‼️😎🤣🤣🤣🤣
350 million isn't all that much, Aptera just told me in December they were worth 805 million dollars and asked all their current investors to invest another $2000 dollars to $1100 discount off a price not yet confirmed, they did say final pricing will arrive later. So a discount off a price not guaranteed isn't what I would call a discount. Best part of our investments is that it is all non voting!!!
Yeah I know, but I love the Aptera so much I'm fine if I lose my 1100 I invested there.
I basically just put the money in assuming I will lose it, but I really want one of those.
Always enjoy your videos…great work
Glad you like them!
Is canoo going to survive
Wait! 5% bonus and better than CT? Let me sell all my TSLA and pour it in.😂

Serious warning. do not even consider to invest single penny to Alpha Motors. They are serious cheater. They took 3 Million from Korea partner and made them supported another 1 Million for Motor show in Korea. But after that NO RESPONSE and try to find another victim in Korea.
They just opened reservations for their cars, idk how legit it can be but what are your thoughts? Will it be safe to risk the investment?

Very retro, sort of late 70's early 80's Toyota Hilux feel to it. Just build it already! it would do well at a $30,000 USD price tag. I wouldn't sink any money into this void though. Very vague!
5:57 zoom in on the rear lol. Is that a "rear axle differential"? Guess they forgot to Photoshop that out? Appears to be a toxic blend of a Toyota, Yugo, Bronco, and a Jeep liberty hot m💩ss.

Aptera is pretty scammy!
Hi Sam,
thank you.
As a comparison to a legitimate new developing innovative revolutionary potentially ground breaking motor vehicle, all available personal, engineers, technicians, production logistical executives would be available to answer all questions openly and supported by sound science and conformation from independent evaluation studies, to view and take away.
Intellectual property clauses may hold back sensitive secrets but that's understandable with all companies.
I've worked and been involved with such companies, participating in engineering exhibitions, openly answering all questions, within companies guidelines, believe me nothing is held back.
So if this company is the real deal, are they conforming to all the normal scrutiny and giving responses that a legitimate company would give, if your own due diligence is not painting this picture, run don't walk as fast as you can.
One further word, pretty videos, pictures, beautiful camping mountain scenery, one vehicle on a stand is cheap cheese for hungry rats.
Great posts

But you're most likely right
Hello mate
If it looks like SCAM it is 😂
Is Trump part owner of this company? Everything you are saying, seems to be taken out of his playbook. I too love the look of this truck and the specs are spot on for what I want in an EV. The price is still a bit too steep for me, but I would seriously consider it, if they actually made the damn thing. Another shady aspect to this, is all the models they offer. I would take them more seriously if they focused on just the Wolf for now. If they have success in making and selling that, they could then use the profits to eventually expand their offerings. They will not get my hard earned money for a bunch of pics and RUclips videos anytime soon.
