Recorders are great musical instruments for children to learn on. Working with these and young kids is nice because they are inexpensive (nice way to teach them how to care for an instrument without handing them something extremely expensive before they are ready to be responsible.) Kids can learn to read notes and play simple songs, as well as control their mouths preparing for playing woodwind or brass instruments. These are easy to play with simple holes that are covered by fingers- no keys or small screws- and are easy for small hands to hold.
This one is a light-weight plastic material. It has a nice soprano recorder tone. It comes with a cleaning rod- you slip a cleaning rag over that and use to clean spit out of the instrument. This does come with some instructions and fingerings for notes- there is nothing in English on this however so it isn’t as helpful as it could be…

Recorders ARE REAL instruments. I play piano, violin, and flute and I believe recorders are actual instruments.
I agree. I think recorders are a great instrument for young kids to start on and learn simple songs but I have heard musicians making amazing sound with recorders. I started playing recorder as a kid and then started playing the flute. They are easy maintenance too. Simple holes- no screws or pads to worry about. I think recorders can make a beautiful sound. I should honestly play mine more and encourage my children to as well.
Mer Product Reviews In 3rd grade I got a recorder for music class. It was super fun! Surprisingly we didn't have to give them back so I still have mine. It's really good.
As long as you can make music with it and compose sheet music for it, it is usually a real instrument.
i play the alto and i have one in wood, lovely sound, plenty of sonatas and solos to play.

What if the rod breaks while cleaning it how can I remove it
The recorder can be easily opened at 2 points to take it apart in 3 pieces.
I wish you would have let us hear the full range and sound instead of three notes. Very sweet of you to do a youtube but you explained everything 3-4 times instead of us letting us hear what the whistle can do.
