Your video is super relaxing. I tend to watch videos of people in my city and it's always a very agitated schedule shown very fast, without time to really appreciate small moments. It was such a nice change to see you take everything in slowly.

Rio Platence spanish ( spoken in center south Argentina and Uruguay) is more difficult for people that learned Mexican or Spanish ( from Spain) variations... Lunfardo has many Italian words ( like pibe, laburo, grosso, etc) because those areas were extremely influenced by Italian immigration ( first two waves characterized by Northern Italians and their dialects and, the last big wave by Naples, Sicilian and other southern Italian immigrants and their dialects). Around half to sixty percent of argentineans have some Italian ancestors. From 1857 to 1940 Italian born immigrants made 44% of the total post colonial immigrant population. For you to picture that, by 1950 Argentina had 15 million total population and around 3 million of them were Italian born surpassing the Spanish, French and German immigrants by far.

When I first arrived in Argentina it was a journey that puts yours to shame.
1.5 hours from Brisbane to Sydney. 3 hours from Sydney to Auckland. 11 hours from Auckland to Santiago.
A bus from Santiago, Chile to Mendoza, Argentina - 8 hours. Then 1.5 hours flight from Mendoza to BA. 1 hour from Ezeiza to Palermo (in BA) bus. All up, 30+ hours in transit.
It didn't need to be that long, but I went with cheap flights and instead of flying Santiago to BA, I opted for the bus across the Andes to Mendoza. I was regretting the decision to add in the bus journey when I boarded, but the trans-Andean drive through Paso Los Libertadores is easily the most amazing road journey I've ever been on, and afterwards I was very glad I did it.
It did take me a day of recuperation before I was ready to explore the amazing city that is Buenos Aires. But once I was eating Ojo de Bife with Chimichurri and drinking Malbec in a Palermo parrilla, I was loving life again.

TBF it isnt like if the US govt just lets anyone enter freely either, we as Argentinians need to get a tourist visa that involves an actual metting with a US official, and it is done solely in Buenos Aires. If you live wherever else, bad luck, you first need to travel to Buenos Aires in order to do the interview. The hassle Americans go through is nowhere near the hassle the US puts nationals from certain other countries through every time they want to go visit.
I 100% agree it should be free for everyone to just travel the world, but the rich countries are the ones that dont want that,

The thing going on in Argentina is that we have different dollar values (like, 14 actually). If you go to legal exchange places, 1 dollar will cost $238 (today), but if you go to a "cueva" it will cost $450 (today). I say today because the value it's constantly changing haha.

Reason why we're so strict with US citizens to get a Visa is because of dimplomatic reciprocity: we apply the same rules the States applies to us :P
But I'm with you regarding borders and visas. We're still have a long way to go but world can't prevent anymore to integrate further and further, because now biggest problems and threats are indeed global. And it's also not just that because I was born in X country the exact same work and knowledge is worth 10 or 100 times less than in Europe or the States.

Financial advice.: there are two conversion rates. The official ARS200 = 1USD and the blue dollar USD1 = ARS440 ... so you can duplicate your money...
    1) sending money to your name via Western Union from your bank account
    2) The government said that they will use the blue rate to incentives tourists using credit card... so you have to ask if it is already in that rate

Hey a quick tip, I'm in argentina at the moment - if you transfer money over to yourself through western union (cash pickup) you get closer to the official blue rate. The blue rate is about 2x the official rate, for example, 100 USD is 45,000 pesos. The official rate is half to combat inflation. You can also exchange with some people on florida street but there is a little more risk of getting scammed.

Well, I was born in Buenos Aires City, and maybe I'm too much biased, but when I was younger I loved going hiking around the north and center of the city for more than 7 hours a day. The city is so big and has so many places to admire.
I also loved to go biking on week-ends to the north part of the metropolitan area, from around Palermo to Tigre or San Isidro. In the way there are great places to drink and eat, and all the coast has its own magical places to hang out.
I used to go to spend the afternoon at Playa Rio Vicente Lopez, with the girls I was dating, to have some Mate and biscuits. The sunset is magical there, I don't know why. I remember getting back by bike sharing that moment with my girlfriends.
I also loved to go to diner or just for a beer at night to San Isidro, there are plenty of places to enjoy a fresh beer, or maybe a a plate of seafood. Places like Barisidro, La Nelly, El Mostrador Santa Teresita de Olivos, El Vivero, Lowell's Biergarten, etc.
In Buenos Aires City you also have some places with the same level of food, like El Muelle, Happening, Don Julio, but after so many years of eating in different places, I'll have to say that I had bad experiences in most of the restaurants... I prefer buying quality ingredients and cook at home...
If you want a good pizza, then La Mezzetta is the best pizza I've ever had. But if you are picky and want thin crust pizza, then the best one for me is La Continental. I also like the Genova pizza, is taller, but is pretty good. I can't recommend Guerrin as much I loved it before, and I can't certainly not recommend Las Cuartetas...
You can visit museums, the city has plenty of beautiful museums of different kinds. Some are a bit abandoned, but others have a lot of stuff to see and admire.
I also loved to walk inside the Chacarita Cemetery when I was younger, is like the city of death inside the Buenos Aires City, is huge!
There are also a lot of huge parks, like Parque Rivadavia, Parque Chacabuco, Parque Sarmiento, Parque Saavedra, Lago de Regatas, Palermo has a lot of places with huge parks and water places... I don't like Parque Centenario anymore because the city gov placed fences around the green areas of the park, making it inaccesible... a total waste.
There are also great parts to shop and spend the day walking, for example Primera Junta, Cabildo y Juramento, Cordoba y Scalabrini Ortiz.
You'll find a lot of book stores and you may find good clothes deals in galeries...
Getting away from the city again:
You can visit the city of La Plata, it is an hour top by train or bus. It has a lot of great places to visit.
If you get a car, visiting San Pedro is great, or maybe La Laguna de Lobos.
I also used to go to Ramos Majia to buy stuff because there is good quality and prices, but sometimes that area of the AMBA might get insecure lets say... Lanus is also pretty similar, and only near the trains station and city centers, I wouldn't go further... You might get robbed or even shot in some situations... the posibility is the same as in the Buenos Aires City, but the insecurity is there and you cannot avoid it...
Hurlingam is another beautiful place to visit, but it might also get dodgy...
I don't know what your plans are, but you gotta visit places like Mendoza, San Antonio Oeste, El Bolson, Peninsula de Valdez, Ushuaia, Calafate, Bariloche, El Chalten, San Martin de los Andes (you can stay cheaper near there at Junin de los Andes), Villa Pehuenia, El Sosneado, Cafayate, Salta, Jujuy, Villa General Belgrrano... oh men, I love my country, there are so many magical places... I love and hate Buenos Aires City now after 34 years of living here and travelling only 1 month per year... I would love to live in a remote place like El Bolson, San Antonio Oeste... or maybe just Uruguay, in a beautiful beach with nothing more than the nature itself...

8:13 The currency ratio is wrong. I mean, technically, that's the official exchange rate. However, the underground exchange rate (which is determined by actual supply and demand) Is less than half of that. So, if you buy your pesos in person (Very easy to do in Buenos Aires) in what we call "Cuevas" (Very easy to find in the downtown area), then you can get double your money. So 10000 pesos is actually more like 20 USD.
