That tiny perfume bottle would have had a glass stopper in it. My Mom and I were bottle digging and Mom found a bottle just like that, and about 6' away, I found the stopper to it!! The stopper has the same pattern in it, as the bottle has. That was about 50 years ago, and I still have that bottle! That is one of my favorite memories of my Mother, and my childhood.
the little bottle w/ the 'ink' in it is actually a bluing bottle. they added a little to their loads of white laundry to help it look whiter when dry.
I’ve been finding Native American pottery around a cave and they date back to the Woodland Period about 2000 years ago.
People that metal detect have super sharp eyes. I notice stuff all the time laying on the ground that my wife and kids never see. Or maybe it is the fact that we are always searching!

Out here in Arizona and southern Nevada i found tiny bottles like that and they were always identified as opiod bottles. Great video!
I thought the same thing...laudenum.
That design on the native pottery is from when they made the shape fir the pot out of grasses, then 5hey molded 5he clay around it. When it got fired, the grass shaping would burn away
, leaving the impressions. You could also tell if it was a dry or wet season by the thickness of the grasses used to make the mold, or shape..

Hey Michael. Watching from south central Pennsylvania. The milk bottle originated not far from me. Lemoyne, is just across the Susquehanna river from Harrisburg, Pa. I hope you find a complete Native American bowl. That would be "unbelievable."

That milk from west shore dairy in PA comes from right near me!! I live just out side of Gettysburg pa and that bottle is from just north of me 40 minutes drive. Small world!! God bless brother.

It's crazy to find pottery from people so long ago, we might guess how they lived but stuff like the person that made the pottery and their story is lost forever. We're here for only a moment, one try, one shot.
Totally relate friend. I keep finding old pottery shards and crazy rock walls all over where I live but there is no explanation of what was going on. And they keep building houses in the area so it all gets destroyed and lost forever. They do the same thing over in Egypt, finding buried treasure under whole cities. Happy hunting!
Who knows, maybe they received the gospel and we _will_ get to know their story!

My grandmother was full blood Muscogee Seminole and she had a bunch of tiny old perfume bottles like you found only hers still had scent in them. Even back then, in the mid-1960s they were _very old._ There were some my grandmother had since she was a girl about 1900. I don't know what ever happened to them.

That half pint milk jug is super cool! I use to hunt arrowheads and bottles with my dad. We had hundreds of bottles we found I found a huge dump of glass bottles in a small area called Bexar in Marion County AL
Michael that last bottle is a bluing bottle embossed around the shoulder.🙂 All nice finds!👍🏼👍🏻

Small glass bottles can also be ink bottles for ink pads from hand printing stamp kits. I got one from a 100 year old set of rubber letter stamps used for making up price tickets.

The ink bottle you found, it looks as though it has writing around the top. If it says something like "Little Boy Blue" then it is a bluing chemical for gun metal.
Man that creek is spitting out all the goodies. Theres gotta be some points or blades in there somewhere.
I remember when I was in grade school I drank milk out of those glass bottles .What a wonderful time in my life

The milk bottle you found looks like it's from Lemoyne PA. Which is about 25 minutes away from me.
Awesome bottles, Michael! The native pottery is gorgeous, the pattern comes from the cording wrapped around the raw clay before it is fired. Nice hunt!💖

That bottle with the blue stuff in it is a little boy blue bluing bottle. It was added to white laundry to give it a more clean white look. I have only found 2 variants of this bottle so far.

I live vicariously through your videos, I used to live up in this old part of southern Pennsylvania and would love to metal detect but moved back to Dallas :( now I’m just stuck in a big city with a metal detector and no where to go 😩

Some cool finds in the creek nugget. Nice tiny bottle an milk bottle as well. In your video at 7:11 when you were looking at the broken soda bottle. There was a grey rock right next to it with a face on it. We find these kinds of rocks time to time in the creeks. Some look like different types of animals. We've found them in shapes of dogs,horses, pigs, etc.. Take a look at it, it was pretty cool. Kind of reminds me of a little pig. Great video. As always safe an happy hunting/digging. This may have nothing to do with that small bottle, but back in the 1950's little bottle of perfume were sold in gift sets. One of the scents was Evening in Paris. That usually came in a blue bottle.

I remember a story from when I was having coffee with my grandfather and some of his friends. I can't remember for sure who told this story but it might have been my grandfather. Once whoever it was was taking an archaeology class and they were doing some fieldwork so that the students could have a little experience. Well, his group was in a cave and they found a complete bowl! A once in a lifetime find. If I remember correctly since this cave was hard to reach they had to organize a way to get out. In trying to do so someone dropped the bowl and it shattered. Moral of the story be careful if you ever find one and I wish you good luck!

lemoyne, pa is a suburb of Harrisburg (the state capital) it’s located on the west shore of the Susquehanna river which is why the dairy was known as the west shore dairy... also seen a bottle similar to your find going on eBay for around 25$
Believe it or not, I found the exact same little perfume bottle from the beginning of the video in the middle of a creek a couple of months ago.
Still look n for nugget noggin stream in. Ala co..NC... From Elon NC.. maybe I will see you on. Travers. Creek. Soon✌️
