It's definitely like jobless reincarnation but also at the same time much worse. Lmao And at the same time, there is a bit of an ethical debate situation when it comes to stuff like that. If you found yourself back in the form of your 8-year-old self or younger. Like how in jobless reincarnation the protagonist Rudy had to literally start back up from being an infant up to where he got to. At that point if you're dating girls around the time if you're now new physical age. Technically there shouldn't be as much of a problem with it. The issue is that you still have the consciousness of what you had as your former self which was already a grown adult. That's where it gets iffy. Although Jobless Reincarnation is much worse, because apparently Rudy is on some pedo stuff a portion of the time. Which is another reason why I never went back and finished it 😅. Lucky clap cheeks when he was 13 or so and of all people he did it with his cousin, which sadly in his somewhat defense wasn't really that big of a deal in like old European-esque cultures. Which he was reborn into. That being said, it's the fact that it gets worse after that. I thought he was going to find true love with the elf girl that he found when he was like 9 or something like that. And with the witch/mage girl who taught him magic. I did not think he was going to end up touching kids when he was at the point of being illegal adult around like 16 years old. Once I heard about that I got out and never looked back. And one of the few times I ever watched an anime that has a lot of fan service, almost just straight up nudity all the time for the female characters is High School DXD. And I admit, I was there on some prayer stuff. But I actually stuck around because I love the action and the fact that the drama was continuing to grow. Although I must have been one of like a million other people watching the series and just screaming at the protagonist to just say the girl's name that he was mainly in love with instead of calling her president all the time because she was a leader of their club in school. Which is extremely strange since he basically declared to the whole underworld that he was going to marry her. Including her brother who was literally the king devil. But held himself at a distance even though they sleep together while she's completely naked. And he's never gone the distance from just groping boobs to full on sex. I got a spoiler from the manga to find out that he does eventually get the goods from a few of the girls. But in one of those cases it was with his friend who's like an angel now, and apparently they can't have enjoyable sex. So they had to do it inside of like a bubble of muting magic or something. So they could enjoy themselves and stuff in that process basically to make a dragon-angel baby hybrid but after they got out they wouldn't remember anything about it. And at that point I got where the writing was going, but I also saw the ridiculousness of non-secular ideologies when it comes to procreation and religion. Because it doesn't say anywhere in the Bible that you can't have sex and enjoy it. It's just about not over-indulging. However again I digress because I understand the piety ideal of it. Confusing AF. But still mostly understandable 😅😂😂😵💫🤦🏾♂️😂

Ok but for real tho, since we can't really compare to it any real life experiences till when would a reincarnated person with the same memories be considered of the same age as his previous life ? Given that he is growing up normally with hormonal changes and mentality and environment chances when would he be simply not consider the person he once was. (Also let's not bring any morals into it, it's simply a discussion)
imo, when his current(physical) age is at least relative to his mental age(ie. the age he was in his past life). Hormonal changes are something they have to manage as best they can(esspecially learning self control, managing emotions ect), and their mentality is their responsibity, they are to be held accountable for their actions. obviously enviromental changes can impact their mental state and they may not be able to do any of the above things i mentioned, but that doesnt mean it justifies their actions(i wont go further than this, since then we'd have to get into different types of justification, and i dont wanna do that).
@@ThePr1nceOfNothing well yah that's the obvious answer but don't you think being given a new body, identity and environment will kinda merge your ages together, at soms point you'll just simply forget things or don't care about your past life. To be fair, when it comes to Mushoku Tensei (since it was mentioned in the chat), Rudeus does have the same mental age as his physical age. He does have more experiences but not his brain from the previous life. Like how he cries like a child in episode 23 of season 1 after Eris leaves him. He even says that he was just a brat acting grown up because of his previous life's memories in the last episode of season 2 when talking to Paul's grave. Not trying to justify his perversion though. Just making attention to what a lot of people seem to overlook.
I’ll be honest with you here. Just a casual enjoyer of MT ( I hate Rudy but like the story so I do still enjoy what it offers). However justification of his character and mental age just makes the MT fans more weird from our perspective. Rudy is written to be weird and flawed that’s all. Suppose a robber kills a person while robbing someone. Justifying the particular thief’s actions that he/she stole because they are poor and hungry so don’t punish them will only make your points weaker. Regardless of the reasoning what’s done is done and the judge has to make a decision based on the action. It’s hard to defend season 1 Rudy. I’m sure you know a lot more than me too on that subject.
@@pawnee2419 I do think Rudeus is a very flawed character. He's very inconsiderate and doesn't seem to regret his actions. Even when it comes to his "character growth", honestly, there isn't much. Mushoku Tensei is more about change than redemption. So even by the end of series, he's not very different when it comes to these things. But even then, it does kind of piss me off when people literally see Rudeus as a 40+ man when he really isn't anymore. It's to okay for people to criticize Rudeus (as they should). But why use the dumb argument of saying that it's wrong because he's old? It's wrong because the shit he does is wrong.
Rudeus literally thinks of lewding his mother the moment he was born and opened his eyes. The hell do you mean he has the same mental age as his physical age. Babies do not have the mental capacity to think like that.
