WELCOME TO BAGUIO! my dad is the first generation Korean missionary in the Cordilleras. and i am the first korean-filipino architect from baguio. yeyyy his friend started the school KCP in the nearby town. Woodnymph and Hodori, along with Korean Palace, are the one of the first korean restaurant korean businessmen as well. I always wanted to see baguio in Korean TV, as it was the top destination for many Koreans before Clark and Cebu. But most of all, it is also because our climate and manners are very similar to Korea and Japan. :) enjoy your stay. You could say that the Cordilleras is like the Hongcheon of the Philippines.
Kudos to the driver/father for his patience while braving through Manila / NCR traffic and getting his family safely to Baguio City. Enjoy the rest of your stay! I also follow fellow Korean Cristy Pata
Wow!! Now you're now in Baguio or Northern Luzon you can explore more in the Cordillera Region (Maligcong Rice Terraces, Tayum Church, Banaue Rice Terraces, Baguio Cathedral, Mount Pulag, Burnham Park, Strawberry Farm, Flower Farms) Ilocos Region (Paoay Church, Baluarte Watch Tower, La Paz Sand Dunes, Hundred Islands National Park, Bangui Windfarm) and Cagayan Valley (especially in pagudpud and Batanes) It's definitely worth it!! Norte is Heaven!!
😢You guys are fortunate to see so many places. Am from the Philippines and I ‘ve never been to places that you’ve been to. 😢Feeling of nostalgia is sinking in. Thank you for your beautiful. vlog.
Welcome to Baguio. It's the gateway to other towns and provinces of the mountain or cordillera. If you miss the beach you can always go down to La Union for 1 and a half ride and go back home to Baguio. There's also a lot of hot springs resort nearby and so much more. Explore as much as you can. Surely you will enjoy the public market with fresh vegetables and fruits
So it was really you who I saw. 😮 I was there the other day. I’m so happy for you. You will love it there in Baguio. Don’t forget to visit also Sagada and Buscalan. ☺️
Yes, pls visit my home-city of Angeles sometime soon which has a vibrant Korean town. Angeles which is in Pampanga is the culinary capital of the country. As foodies, you will for sure happily satisfy your gastronomic cravings while exploring the city, outside of K-town. :)
There is a large Korean community there and very well integrated in the city. I'm working overseas at the moment and do miss my home Baguio. Welcome ! Lots of places to visit there. Enjoy!
Its a good investment to build houses in baguio city due to our world is getting warmer and warmer, electricity is cheap because you dont need an aircon :)
Welcome to Baguio city ❤ there are a lot of Korean mart and restaurants here. Before the pandemic, there were a lot of Korean students coming here to learn English.
Excited for your family's experience in Baguio. As someone who lives in Manila, Baguio/Benguet Province in general holds a special place in my heart. The locals, the food, and the place is just amazing.
Welcome to the Cordilleras! 🎉 If you guys love mountains, I suggest you must visit Northern Blossom located in Atok, Benguet. It's a 2-hours drive from Baguio City. Atok Benguet has a colder temperature than Baguio City and it has more mountainous vibes. Anyway Baguio City is just within Benguet and Atok is one of the municipalities of Benguet.
BACK DURING THOSE EARLY DAYS. BAGUIO CITY IS A PLACE WHERE WEALTHY FILIPINO FAMILIES STAYED DURING SUMMER. IT WAS VERY PEACEFUL ,NOT CROWDED,NO TRAFFIC, VERY CLEAN AND EVEN COLDER THAN TODAY. YOU CAN ONLY FIND AMERICAN STYLE VACATION HOUSES, PRIVATE CARS NICE PARKS AND FEW STABLISHMENT. THE FIRST TIME I WENT THERE WAS 1982. IT WAS STILL NOT CROWDED AND NO TRAFFIC AND NO TO MANY STORES COMPARE TODAY
I remember in the early 90s we used to go there during summer or special occasions. We’re from the north so Baguio was like our “big city”. And you’re right, it was waaaaay less crowded before. Miss those days. 😢
Really love this family so family oriented and very pure and innocent… wish I can see you collaborate with kristypata!! Make it happen enjoy your stay in baguio
I am glad you like Baguio where the place I was raised. I was born in La Union moved to here when I was 9 then moved to San Francisco California at 14 to join my family.
Oh dear, you should have continued or hired a Van /or a driver to SAGADA. The little California of the Phil. You can find many foreigners there. Everyone can speak English. Cool town full of pine trees, mountains, water falls, caves and beautiful nature. Even Hanging coughins.
Welcome to Baguio! You will love the cold weather there. Try 50’s diner, vizco’s for their strawberry short cake, cafe batirol in camp john hay, strawberry sinigang in mines view.
Welcome to the City of Pines. Your joy and happiness just entering Baguio is so priceless. I'm sure you'll be able to find a nice house to stay and be settled permanently in our city. Baguio has a lot to offer you and with many nice places to explore, so enjoy your stay and be safe always. So may Koreans too so you'll be happy to see and know some. All the best.

Plssss make your videos a little more longer time it's very relaxing to see your family enjoying the beauty of each place you visit. We always love you ❤. Godbless always .❤
i suggest that you guys visit sakura park in atok which is near baguio. cherry blossoms in the park have been in bloom lately. japan donated 30 sakura trees to atok in 2015 in celebration of 40 years of sisterhood ties with benguet province. temperature in atok can go below zero during amihan (northeast monsoon), hence, the perfect place for the sakura tree to survive. full bloom is expected in 6-10 years though.
Congratulations on arriving safely! May your family's stay in Baguio be great! I've always wanted to live in Baguio just for its fresh produce like highland vegetables and crops. They're so affordable compared to Manila prices.
Been watching your family vlog since you moved here in the Philippines and I realized that I haven't followed you yet so I did now.. keep it up love your family adventure.
A lot of cars and traffic in Baguio is so bad specially in summer, holidays, holy week, February flower festival. You should also try eating at Good Taste Restaurant. Try their buttered chicken, egg drop soup or bird's nest soup, beef with broccoli, chopsuey (it's a vegetable dish).
AWWW. I'm so happy you heeded what I and some other Filipino subscribers have told you about. I really think this is the perfect city for your kids to continue their studies. Baguio is also knonw as an educational center with locally top notch universities like SLU, UC, etc. There are a lot of Koreans who have finished their studies there. If you also want just a pure Korean school or with international students to learn English, you check on PIA. But there are a few more schools with international curriculum like Brent International School. You have very good options in Baguio. Enjoy my city and be safe. Learn the local culture of my tribe called Igorot. They are the native people of the city.
Since the early 90s the Korean community has been rising in Baguio. Even some of my HS friends were Korean. Baguio is def the best weather for summer, rains also last much longer. I haven't been back in many years but it is my home. Enjoy

Also, Baguio City is densely populated so expect traffic and interact with more people. You're also correct when you said Baguio feels like S. Korea... many spots has the old S. Korea look. And the typical houses looks like Korean houses in the countryside.
Woww. So happy you made it safely! It was a long journey for whole family. Mommy won so appreciative of driving skill of daddy won. 😊 it was not easy to drive for 5 days from south to north of the PH. im so amazed for your family to visit different cities. Find a house that is stable because it's rainy season and stormy , and landslides usually happen in baguio
