@@ravisamani123 I was looking forward to buy Altroz DCT, took for a test drive but was highly unsatisfied with the driving experience. Then I drove Baleno and was satisfied and finally bought it. Also, altroz does not have traction control which is very important in an automatic car.

Why don’t you buy a tank instead? If there’s a major accident, none of your safety features will come to your rescue. A car is meant for decent ride quality and luxury, something that Tata fails to provide on it’s hatchbacks . Poor engines, sub standard suspension and lot of engine noise, not so good gear box and let’s not talk about pick up. Rear passengers( tall ones) hardly have any leg room. S cross is any day better...its a segment higher and even the Zeta is loaded with most features u need today...of course, indian car buyers have different choices thn others ,but ,build quality of S cross is best in Maruti stable.

No doubt TATA's build quality is best but you should consider a balanced car...dont just go for build quality bcoz engine also matters... I20 and new baleno are blanced cars with decent build, fit and finish and good engines..
Amit je, Namaskar. I am a big fan of yours. I booked Nisan Magnite 2nd top model CVT in Dec.2020. So, I have price escalation protection and is offered this model at a on road price of approx. Rs 9.3 Lakhs and top model CVT @ 10.1L in comparison to Tata Punch AMT creative @ Rs. 10.5 Lakh on road price. I am confused between these two. Please advice. Good to see Suzuki, Hyundai should have concentrated on Strong metal sheet frame structure rigidity instead of Kashmir 🤣. Tata should focus on engine and service, interms of metal sheet frame structure rigidity they are much better than Hyundai and Kia. I bought Baleno Alpha AMT in March 2023 in Rs.12 lacs (including accessories, RTO charges, road tax, insurance) . I have driven it 2600 kms so far. My monthly running is around 1000 kms (70% highway & 30% city). Here's what I found - PROS - 1) Spacious cabin with ample legroom for rear occupants 2) Sufficient boot space with hydraulic tailgate 3) Auto dimming IRVM 4) Excellent headlights CONS - 1) I regret buying AMT because it gives mileage of 18 to 20 kmpl. I have checked tank to tank mileage many times. I drive with lightfoot and never cross 80 kmph speed. Still it is giving so less mileage as compared to manual version. One of my friend has Baleno manual version & it gives him mileage of 23 to 24 kmpl. 2) No youtuber will tell you this but the rear part of Baleno (near rear grab handles) is bulkier. So when I try to do reverse parking, it creates a blind spot in ORVMs and hampers judgement. 3) IRVM and infotainment screen are so close that it creates a big blind spot on windshield. 4) Manual car gives you confidence that you can control car even at high speeds. But that is not case with AMT. 5) Front seats have good lower back support but equally bad mid back support. 6) Auto start stop system is very irritating. Though Maruti claims that engine will stop 15 seconds after pressing the brakes, in reality engine stops after 3 seconds or 5 seconds.

@@drasik300 LED drl are there in zeta too.. but led fog lamps are available only in alpha. You can install same led fog lamps in zeta from maruti with an incremental cost of Rs. 6999/-. I shall install before winter.
How could edb, abs, traction control saves the passangers in the car if it's built quality is not good. Be practical not the theoretical. In India leave the reckless drivers, here cows and dogs come in front of car in middle of road from nowhere. The active and passive features will try to slow down the impact but to nullify the impact one needs strong build quality of the car. I had seen accidents where air bags were deployed and even abs performed very well still the whole of occupants died due to poor built of car. Occupants can be saved until the cabin of car is intact. So, it's better to be practical than theoretical.
The situations like breaking lane and signal rules, stray animals crossing the roads, people crossing the road like a king, poor conditions of road, rash driving, extension of RC though bribe (outdated vehicle), all types of vehicles sharing limited lanes, and many more factors adds to much accident case. Well, the safety features mentioned are all important but we can't solely point out on built quality for safety whereas the vehicle involve in accident is important factor; heavy vehicle hitting smaller cars or cars hitting hard surface with high speed should be considered for death possibility. One special point is that while all car makers nowadays give air balloon, few cars actually open their air balloon in case of emergency or when needed.
Things like Traction Control, Brake Assist, ESP, Bigger Disks, Hill Hold prevent many accidents. Why let accidents occur when you can prevent it? And I too agree that we need structural safety too, let's wait for the NCAP, hope the Baleno atleast gets a 3.

Ungali se daba k test 😂😂 GNCAP matlab timepass kar rahi itne paise aur research me mehnat kar k. Baleno is good for city within city speed limits but avoid Suzuki Baleno if you are driving enthusiast or highway trip lover. Safety if same as old Baleno because of the old chasis. Basic difference between incident and accident is that accidents are unplanned and un-friendly events which may happen any time and unsafe cars like Baleno are not recommended for the same reason as it fails crash with any object with just 64kmph speeds in GNCAP lab tests. I.e; even if you are driving at 32kmph speed and opposite car is at 32kmph speed you are risking your life in Suzuki Baleno. And everyone knows how people drive Baleno at 80+ KMPH speeds

S cross is any day better...its a segment higher and even the Zeta is loaded with most features u need today...of course, indian car buyers have different choices thn others ,but ,build quality of S cross is best in Maruti stable.

Amit Sir, I m your big fan and never missed a video of you.. I have a doubt that should I go for safety to buy altroz or not as I am a new driver and u can say just a learner.. But I'm not sure after being a good driver..I would regret to take altroz instead of baleno as baleno is my first choice.
Lol...stop hearing sales gimmicks of TATA sales...fact is no car is safer in this globe...go with the car which your heart says....every car has its own pros and cons...maruthi will be the road ruler no brands can remove from no.1position...maruthi knows wat indians need...mileage is the priority for nowadays..u never feel premium car in TATA...no resale value...maintainance cost is high...service issue...go buy baleno...looks good have all needs.
No doubt TATA's build quality is best but you should consider a balanced car...dont just go for build quality bcoz engine also matters... I20 and new baleno are blanced cars with decent build, fit and finish and good engines..

Amit je, Namaskar. I am a big fan of yours. I booked Nisan Magnite 2nd top model CVT in Dec.2020. So, I have price escalation protection and is offered this model at a on road price of approx. Rs 9.3 Lakhs and top model CVT @ 10.1L in comparison to Tata Punch AMT creative @ Rs. 10.5 Lakh on road price. I am confused between these two. Please advice. Good to see Suzuki, Hyundai should have concentrated on Strong metal sheet frame structure rigidity instead of Kashmir 🤣. Tata should focus on engine and service, interms of metal sheet frame structure rigidity they are much better than Hyundai and Kia. Better engine better build better safety only VW and Skoda, they are superior.

I bought Baleno Alpha AMT in March 2023 in Rs.12 lacs (including accessories, RTO charges, road tax, insurance) . I have driven it 2600 kms so far. My monthly running is around 1000 kms (70% highway & 30% city). Here's what I found -
PROS -
1) Spacious cabin with ample legroom for rear occupants
2) Sufficient boot space with hydraulic tailgate
3) Auto dimming IRVM
4) Excellent headlights
CONS -
1) I regret buying AMT because it gives mileage of 18 to 20 kmpl. I have checked tank to tank mileage many times. I drive with lightfoot and never cross 80 kmph speed. Still it is giving so less mileage as compared to manual version. One of my friend has Baleno manual version & it gives him mileage of 23 to 24 kmpl.
2) No youtuber will tell you this but the rear part of Baleno (near rear grab handles) is bulkier. So when I try to do reverse parking, it creates a blind spot in ORVMs and hampers judgement.
3) IRVM and infotainment screen are so close that it creates a big blind spot on windshield.
4) Manual car gives you confidence that you can control car even at high speeds. But that is not case with AMT.
5) Front seats have good lower back support but equally bad mid back support.
6) Auto start stop system is very irritating. Though Maruti claims that engine will stop 15 seconds after pressing the brakes, in reality engine stops after 3 seconds or 5 seconds.
Cons Point 2-3 absolutely spot on.
Backseat armrest is a MUST in a car of this price and segment. It adds much to the comfort and overall experience. Huge miss from Maruti.

Reg. Mileage: 60% of my journey is on highways & 40% on city & villages. I've checked tank to tank. It comes to be 20.9 kmpl (AC always on @ 24°c)

How could edb, abs, traction control saves the passangers in the car if it's built quality is not good. Be practical not the theoretical. In India leave the reckless drivers, here cows and dogs come in front of car in middle of road from nowhere. The active and passive features will try to slow down the impact but to nullify the impact one needs strong build quality of the car. I had seen accidents where air bags were deployed and even abs performed very well still the whole of occupants died due to poor built of car. Occupants can be saved until the cabin of car is intact. So, it's better to be practical than theoretical.
What is your point then ?
The situations like breaking lane and signal rules, stray animals crossing the roads, people crossing the road like a king, poor conditions of road, rash driving, extension of RC though bribe (outdated vehicle), all types of vehicles sharing limited lanes, and many more factors adds to much accident case.
Well, the safety features mentioned are all important but we can't solely point out on built quality for safety whereas the vehicle involve in accident is important factor; heavy vehicle hitting smaller cars or cars hitting hard surface with high speed should be considered for death possibility.

One special point is that while all car makers nowadays give air balloon, few cars actually open their air balloon in case of emergency or when needed.
Things like Traction Control, Brake Assist, ESP, Bigger Disks, Hill Hold prevent many accidents. Why let accidents occur when you can prevent it? And I too agree that we need structural safety too, let's wait for the NCAP, hope the Baleno atleast gets a 3.

Ungali se daba k test 😂😂 GNCAP matlab timepass kar rahi itne paise aur research me mehnat kar k. Baleno is good for city within city speed limits but avoid Suzuki Baleno if you are driving enthusiast or highway trip lover. Safety if same as old Baleno because of the old chasis. Basic difference between incident and accident is that accidents are unplanned and un-friendly events which may happen any time and unsafe cars like Baleno are not recommended for the same reason as it fails crash with any object with just 64kmph speeds in GNCAP lab tests.
I.e; even if you are driving at 32kmph speed and opposite car is at 32kmph speed you are risking your life in Suzuki Baleno. And everyone knows how people drive Baleno at 80+ KMPH speeds
