I'd like to mention the fact that the war of 14-18 (19) was pretty soon called "THE World War" in Germany and Austria (Der Weltkrieg)... and the concept had pretty much been around since, you guessed it, the Seven Years War. Also mind the fact that even in the two World Wars of the early 20th century many participants still WHERE colonies, dominions or dependencies, the first essentially was a War between the European Powers that by it's very nature was instantly a world war with all their colonial possessions getting involved by definition - see the Africa Campaign (Germany actually remained undefeated in this one though it had turned into a guerrilla war pretty early) and the actions fought by Japan in the Pacific gathering up Germany's colonial possessions there.
Also: Frederick the Great was fighting pretty much ALL of the European Powers at the same time from a resource poor position (Prussia was pretty much "the sandbox of the Empire") but prevailed by utilizing operative mobility (be there first - ha!), discipline (THE Prussian virtue), superior firepower (as in: troops drilled and drilled and drilled to get of three musket balls in the time that a regular musketeer got off one), aggression (attack attack attack, if outnumbered, attack, if on the defence ATTACK... though nothing pointless), British money (Prussia was essentially funded by the British as it's "Festland Degen" - it's "continental sword") and also plain dumb LUCK (Prussia was facing Russia, Sweden, Austria [remember: a Great Power until it got carved up after WW1] and France, had just lost the brutal Battle of Kunersdorf and then Tzarina Elisabeth died... and her successor instantly made peace... this is historically referred to as "The Miracle of the House of Brandenburg" because "The Dumb Luck of the House of Brandenburg" wouldn't have been nearly as cool...).
Frederick died in his chair, lounging around, as he was prone to, in a supremely un-royal dirty old uniform full of holes, an crumpled old tricorn and a supreme frown of grumpiness (he was an enlightened rules, a great state-philosopher, a magnificent badass in military matters, a great lawmaker... he was NOT a nice person and even less interested in appearance ;).
He was also an open (as in pretty much obvious to everyone but no one cared to bother an absolute monarch about this) flaming homosexual, hence "Oblige Tactics aren't exactly straight" because he was both known to have preferred strengthening one wing ad the expense of the centre and using it to crush the enemy flank... and he was not exactly straight ;).
The European theatre of the Seven Years War is also known as "The Second Silesian War" because to both Prussia and Austria it WAS this (among other things). They had already fought one over this rich province in 1740-1742 with Prussia getting to keep the loot.
I could talk about Pompeius Magnus but I'll stop here ;).
    Enough history now ;).
    Best regards
    Raoul G. Kunz

Pompey The Great was part of the Roman Triumvirate (before it became an empire) which also included a guy named Cassius and another guy named Julius Caesar. Pompey was a young but high ranking general. Early career military exploits are what earned him "The Great", which was a title of "Magnus" awarded by the government. Kind of like a Medal of Honor or the Nobel Prize, but history knows him best for sneaky bullshit and taking credit for other generals' victories. He married Caesar's daughter, who died in childbirth, the child didn't survive either. Drove a rift between Pompey and Caesar in the years leading up to Caesar taking power in Rome. Here's how it played out: Pompey decided he wanted total control of Rome so he aligned himself with a political conservative party from the Senate, then while Cassius was distracted fighting battles of conquest in another country, fought Julius in "Caesar's Civil War" and ended up being chased to Egypt where he was assassinated. This gave Caesar a villain to fight and and excuse to complete Rome's transformation from a republic to an empire. It's the source material for how Star Wars's Emperor took power. Pompey was one of the best generals under Julius and the history on him is as interesting as Julius Caesar himself, but obviously ERB couldn't fit all that in. Easier to have Cathy kick Pompey's can down the road, she's more badass anyway.

Ivan was the best. The character, the voice, the mannerism. His definitely one of the best character ERB created.
In terms of the battle, Ivan won. He manipulated and tricked every one and that counts as a win.
In terms of rapping and lines, Alexander won. He did great.

There's more to the seven years war than Britain and France. The Other major powers where involved as well. Prussia and Britain versus Austria, France and Russia (who weirdly switched sides for a brief time in the middle of the war, because a new Tsar came to power). Anyways, Id definitly like to see you make a video on the seven years war.
Especially about Frederick the Great. He can be considered the man who laid the foundation for the small Prussia to become a permanent major power in europe (and later found the German Empire)

America was involved in the Seven Years War. though, at the time we were still part of the British Empire. over here the war was called the "French and Indian War." the Seven Years War started in the "Americas" between the British and French fighting over territory. it then spread to Europe with other European powers joining in the fight. Frederick (the Great) was the King of Prussia at the time. Prussia fought on the British side. and you are correct sir, the Seven Years War was the first world war.

Funnily it was fought because OF America, France and England had a border dispute over french colonies in the Americas, a french (IIRC) leader got murdered by a native working for the Brits and well, Prussia(what would become one of the main kingdoms that'd form Germany later so, you know, Germans in world wars are like America, an essential ingredient), England, France and alot of others got dragged into the conflict.
So yeah a lotta folks believe that was the first "world war" at least in modern history.
