I see on the hooks straight parts have marks from the tailstocks bearings. It is why wood planers use poured babit bearings are used. Sometimes old tech is better than the process of new tech is preferable. SWEET !
In the right hands these Analog machines are every bit as accurate as the digital machines. A machinist has to constantly think about what they are doing. Sure nothing wrong with that eh. Todays younger machinists really need to spend a bunch of time with them to get really good with their new trade.
