I so love this piece!! My heart quickens at the sound of this lush, playful, melancholy concerto. Maestro Widmann's clarinet tells us of all of the beauty, sadness, and pain that Mozart felt in his heart at the time he composed this incredible piece. Maestro's clarinet is so honestly and sensitively played and not one precious note/word is lost. His phrasing is perfect as are the dynamics and tempi. There is nothing false to be heard here. You're hearing whole and unad!ulterated truth. The adagio is torturously beautiful and always brings tears to my eyes. Everything Mozart composed had a persistent undercurrent of melancholy and sadness. He is, by far, my favourite composer and always shall be! There is nothing more satisfying than watching the faces and body language of the players when playing Mozart! They simply cannot contain their excitement and passion and they're always happy to exuberantly give their all and then some to bring his compositions to life. 26:01-26:16 and 26:32-26:4029:30-the finish, Perfection! Yes, Yes, Yes!!! Joyful, teasing to the point of madness, sumptuous! I'm running out of superlatives haha! I love how Mozart would write playful notes on the sheet/s themselves, warning the soloist/s, in this case, Stadler, about how difficult certain passages will be! And/or daring them to play them correctly! Haha! Thank you for this miraculous upload and Bravo! 🌹🌹Long live Woferl Amade Mozart!
