Recently someone who was probably a valuable partner of the dusttrust team, had the audacity to leak some officially canon stuff that had to do with "psychosis" and the almighty psychosis track, got taken down in the officially dusttrust SoundCloud account which is just great... but thankfully it's getting a remake and the person or member of the dusttrust team ended up getting kicked or left the team for their actions and was claimed that they never changed as they were given a second chance due to some drama that I didn't know about, according to Dillywolf.
their name are Amber, who used to date one of the team's musician, which is how she was able to get into the team. In respond to the Psychosis 1 FLPs being leaked(Amber make v2 for a game called Pessimism, it's cool check it out), Dilly decided to uhh... insult them for their past trauma(which is being uhh by a pedophile, her being a bit too horny for a poly 15 years old and much more).
I know the full story of that. Basically amber got shittalked about psychosis II being bad in team chat and amber got so made she leaked the progress of what her and nickolas did behind the scenes(some attempts with making a good papyrus encounter song). There is a whole video about how awfull dillywolf herself is and it was also mentioned what she said to amber in her dms
The Legacy area actually stemmed from the animated UST, which is what the FDY fights are based off of. When that blew up, it became an indirect staple (on Roblox, of all places). Soon after, the "Reboot" happened, which became Classic Dusttrust; one with only one phase and a massive battleaxe. After the owner of that AU got bored, it became the ACTUAL Reboot, and then hell broke loose.

And i heard distrust theme. After that i check what is "dusttrust" and was kinda surprised. I backed in undertale fandom, but cant understand, wtf with dusttrust. Thank you for explaining

when dillywolf took over was when dusttrust pretty much died, because the cannon version that nik had established, and the pre-leak one that ari was working on were both thrown out of the window, if the 2 version just got developed further without any ownership changes or drama, it would have been perfectly fine!
Canon dusttrust was the renaissance of dusttrust, the hope in the dark. the best you could find. I am just sick of following the story with the rights to dusttrust going from one person to another, then to another.
Personally I think the Golden Era should've been canon, it would've been nice to see a version of dusttrust that had a different outlook on the whole genocide route as it was portrayed in the many fangames and UST's, and not to mention the plan for him was to actually WIN this time around instead of just using all the human souls and still somehow losing. The endings of these fangames were very bittersweet as he got to see the surface but ended up melting away, not sure if this was the actual plan for the "Golden Era / Pre-Leak dusttrust" but I just thought it was such a neat idea and I already miss it.

This is interesting I guess. I’ve never really been interested in what’s “cannon” because everything is cannon because nothing is cannon. Undertake is cannon, every fan creation is a fan creation and I don’t really get separating them. I currently am making an incredibly over ambitious dusttrust version based on a mix of my favorite aspects. I am currently only making it for myself, and if I ever put out anything about it it will probably be in *well* over a year. I’m enjoying what I’ve made so far, but need to learn way too much to continue with it.

And I’m here to say that not only was the community bad, the dusttrust team itself was bad Lots of internal drama, leaks, and just overall messy management. I have since left the Undertale community and now reside in my own little pocket of the internet lol That is all, I can’t remember much of what happened on the team because I have a HORRIBLE memory. But it was bad, REALLY bad. Peace ✌️

Could've split golden era part into "pre-leak" of Sawsk ownership and into a "post-leak" of multiple unofficial takes. Also maybe more of pre-leak's unofficial dusttrust takes examples?

I'll be completely honest, I used to think there was only one Dusttrust take, that being Legacy. Then I believed that Pre-Leak was the updated version and that everyone was just making fangames of THAT because the real one wasn't finished. But COME ON, this many takes?! It really makes me wonder how many ways possible there are to reiterate the same Disbelief tracks over and over again with the SAME concept nontheless, only to have them all remade so much they eventually spiral into their own themes. Even if most of the past takes are scrapped now, I feel like they should still be used for something at least. And since I looked at it, I now take "Maniac's Revenge (Reboot)" as my favorite Dusttrust Phase 2. (alphabet song banger)
Es increíble, es simplemente increible como un fangame es mas popular y reconocido que sus dos inspiraciones (osea distrust y Dustbelief y esta es mi propia opinión) pero si que es un desastre la cosa con dusttrust, yo lo hubiera dejado con sus 4 fases y utilizar el pre leak canon y solo me darle unos mejores diseños asi como esa fase 3 de dusttrust que dejare el video para que entiendan lo que me referio, la verdad legacy y thanatos me gustan mas que el actual, legacy es como la carta que inicio dusttrust y thanatos es el mas reconocido en toda la comunidad, tambien si el fandom no hubiera sido tan molestamente impaciente, hubiéramos tenido a un dusttrust simple de 4 fases y no un dusttrust todo desordenado pero ya para que el fandom y sus pendejadas como sea solo espero que este nuevo dusttrust sea una joya de adorar sin tanto papeleo y logre ser algo de admirar que sus antiguas versiones (y que tampoco otro au de dust pase por lo mismo que paso este fangame como el Dusthope que inicio siendo tambien copia de Dustbelief [no oficial creo] a ser un musculoso con una historia toda rara que no entiendo).
As a person who left the community years ago and just looking back for nostalgia, I feel really bad... for past myself, thinking any of this "AU" garbage was worth my time. Good job 12-14 year old me, you wasted 2+ years of your life. On the plus side, at least I learned pixel art. Pro tip: If you see an Undertale fangame (any one at all), just automatically assume it's gonna be canceled eventually. That's reality.
While some like reboot some like legacy, I think a lot people like reboot more since a lot people in Undertale are just...eh...still I think main reason why legacy got more views is because at the time the time it was released there a lot more people in the fandom, the creator is pretty popular at the time, Reboot was released when some people already left Undertale Fandom and with at the time FNF was rising in popularity, a lot of people pretty much left already for other community, I think both has it good and bad, my only complain for Pre-boot is it try to be too close to Flame disbelief (but that same problem apply to most disbelief Au at the time as well) and my only problem with reboot is it try to be TOO edgy (which same era where people started to create more Edgy version of Au and era where people started making "Renewed" and Reboot of some Au)
at this point why even release dusttrust at all? if community is still leaking shit and being toxic and new owners are this and that, why even continue the game at all?
Ironically coincidental that the FNF community (ESPECIALLY the Sonic.exe side of things) are just as bad if not worse. They're all too impatient, leaking things randomly, causing multiple cancellations, remakes, remasters, and revivals, and what's even more insane is that some of the Undertale Soundcloud Community (the ones who also worked on Dusttrust OST) worked on several FNF mods, including Sonic.exe, and eventually some of them showed their true colors as liars and manipulators and got themselves in even worse trouble. Such is the cycle of toxic fandoms and the obsessive "sub-genres" of them both...

I usually prefer the casual and most popular dusttrust (the one with the swords.), I like to combine the two stories.
It looks great, literatly, discovering the history of dusttrust is interessting, good job.

Es increíble, es simplemente increible como un fangame es mas popular y reconocido que sus dos inspiraciones (osea distrust y Dustbelief y esta es mi propia opinión) pero si que es un desastre la cosa con dusttrust, yo lo hubiera dejado con sus 4 fases y utilizar el pre leak canon y solo me darle unos mejores diseños asi como esa fase 3 de dusttrust que dejare el video para que entiendan lo que me referio, la verdad legacy y thanatos me gustan mas que el actual, legacy es como la carta que inicio dusttrust y thanatos es el mas reconocido en toda la comunidad, tambien si el fandom no hubiera sido tan molestamente impaciente, hubiéramos tenido a un dusttrust simple de 4 fases y no un dusttrust todo desordenado pero ya para que el fandom y sus pendejadas como sea solo espero que este nuevo dusttrust sea una joya de adorar sin tanto papeleo y logre ser algo de admirar que sus antiguas versiones (y que tampoco otro au de dust pase por lo mismo que paso este fangame como el Dusthope que inicio siendo tambien copia de Dustbelief [no oficial creo] a ser un musculoso con una historia toda rara que no entiendo).

for past myself, thinking any of this "AU" garbage was worth my time. Good job 12-14 year old me, you wasted 2+ years of your life. On the plus side, at least I learned pixel art.
Pro tip: If you see an Undertale fangame (any one at all), just automatically assume it's gonna be canceled eventually. That's reality.

I don’t think it’s overrated it’s a pretty good storyline with very good fights and phases
People liked the legacy dusttrust much more than "golden era". The amount of views a simple ost got was huge, much more than the reboot version.
While some like reboot some like legacy, I think a lot people like reboot more since a lot people in Undertale are just...eh...still I think main reason why legacy got more views is because at the time the time it was released there a lot more people in the fandom, the creator is pretty popular at the time, Reboot was released when some people already left Undertale Fandom and with at the time FNF was rising in popularity, a lot of people pretty much left already for other community, I think both has it good and bad, my only complain for Pre-boot is it try to be too close to Flame disbelief (but that same problem apply to most disbelief Au at the time as well) and my only problem with reboot is it try to be TOO edgy (which same era where people started to create more Edgy version of Au and era where people started making "Renewed" and Reboot of some Au)

Ironically coincidental that the FNF community (ESPECIALLY the Sonic.exe side of things) are just as bad if not worse.
They're all too impatient, leaking things randomly, causing multiple cancellations, remakes, remasters, and revivals, and what's even more insane is that some of the Undertale Soundcloud Community (the ones who also worked on Dusttrust OST) worked on several FNF mods, including Sonic.exe, and eventually some of them showed their true colors as liars and manipulators and got themselves in even worse trouble.
Such is the cycle of toxic fandoms and the obsessive "sub-genres" of them both...
