    What did you do with the floor under the c- channel? How did you get it out and put it back under? And rebolt in the c-channel

    • @TouringTastebuds
      @TouringTastebuds  5 лет назад

      We unbolted it and ripped out all that we could, it was really rotten so couldn’t use it as a template. Put back under, it just slides in there is enough space in between the frame and the Airstream for your subfloor. To rebolt we used toggle bolts, has held up phenomenally. All of this should be in our video! If you have any more questions though just ask! 😊

    How did you get the floor to slide in so easily? Did you use 3/4 inch? Help we cannot get ours all the way in.

    • @TouringTastebuds
      @TouringTastebuds  5 лет назад

      When we took our old subfloor our we measured and it was actually a 1/2 inch for ours so we used 1/2 inch to make it work and then we used toggle bolts and self tapping screws to secure! I would measure your old subfloor to ensure the right size. If this doesn’t help, let me know would love to help more!

      It was way bigger than I had anticipated! haha but thank you guys, so glad to be done with that though! Excited for what Stef has in mind for the inside! The drilling was at first a great stress reliever and then became a huge pain after about a day of drilling! lol thanks for watching guys!

    Huge bummer that you couldn't use the old subfloor as a template, but it looks like you bossed it anyway. Loving these updates!!

      @TouringTastebuds  6 лет назад

      It definitely was a bummer and made the process way longer than needed but we figured it out and got it done...eventually! haha Glad you are enjoying the updates, the next one should be more fun and involve a lot more than flooring! Thanks for stopping by!

    Looks like you both are making great progress. It looks like a dirty fun project. It is going to look so amazing when its all said and done. Do you have a time frame for when you want it completed? Or are just doing what ever whenever you can? Thanks for the great share! Have an amazing night. Cheers!

      Definitely making some progress, it was a pain for a little bit but now it is becoming more and more fun! Excited to start working on the inside and building it back up! We are hoping to be completed no longer than a few weeks, the floor was the most difficult part for us! Glad you enjoyed, thanks for watching! Hope you are doing great, excited to see the new video!

    Looking good guys. I love that transition where you put the camera in the hole under that Travel Trailer then back on the other side. Really cool.
    Looking good. I guess the next step is building the bed maybe?

    • @TouringTastebuds
      @TouringTastebuds  6 лет назад +1

      Thank you! It was fun to mess with the transitions in this video, had a lot more footage to work with! The next step more than likely is going to be laying the floor and getting everything ready to be painted! Then the bed and other pieces can come on in! Hope you are doing great, saw you posted a new video, look forward to seeing it!

      Yes, terrible rain! haha sadly Arkansas rains atleast once a week! I think full days total it was 11, but most days we only had a few hours tops to work on it! Millie was a huge help, she is a great supervisor haha that is one thing I really love about our relationship, we always keep on going no matter what! Thank you guys for the compliments and stoping by, cant wait to share the next update! Should have a lot more fun things in it other than floor replacement! haha

    Dang, this is looking good! So much progress. Love the shot through the rivet hole.
    I agree with Chad. A good drilling fixes most anything! Ha! - Chad, you need a Dremel Tool!
    I was just thinking/wondering, do you need to have any flashing at the door on the aluminum piece to keep the water from entering?
    10k I’m Twitter and soooo close to 1k here! You are going to fly right by me in a week or so! Please remember us small creators.

    • @TouringTastebuds

      Thank you so much Harvy!! We wanted to try and add a couple fun shots and laughs since the video was way longer than normal for us! A good drilling fixes most, until you drill for like 5 days then it doest haha we finally got a better drill at the end!! So for the door, the aluminum piece bolts to the actual subfloor and then there are two drill holes going through the door frame, aluminum, and subfloor into the frame so that it is kept tight and flush! There is also a drain underneath right there in case water gets in, since the fridge is right there as well! Hope that makes sense!
      We love our Twitter community! We are working on a twitter tutorial to help people get started! I don't know about that, your content is amazing and you are growing at a great rate! I hope you remember us! Lol Have a great rest of the week, thanks for chatting airstream Reno! :)
