ramkrishna das while careful listening to the full clip on 7 aug 2020 finds that there is NO TIVRA MADHYAM in this grand recital as he claimed one year ago. what is your say?

My say to you would be better keep your analysis with yourself until ypu are sure! Or keep a margin for being wrong till then!

it is a masterful rendition indeed, but WHAT'S ABOUT MANY TIVRA MADHYAM AND MAANJH KHAMAAJ ANG EMBEDDED IN IT. leaving aside raagdaari, i analytically loved it very much.

@@sargam-of-ramkrishna-nadrang It's new to me; I learned about Mr. Khan through researching Ravi Shankar. Would you be so kind as to suggest a book or other resource that would be helpful? Aloha from Maui.

pls read books like ragmala by ravshankar, indian music by thakur jaidev singh, lost world of hindustani music by kumar mukherjee and raga nidhi by subba rao. and pls learn the same music from a very qualified music teacher for about 2 to 5 years, may be 2000 hrs, then you would be able to evaluate depth of my statement. i am in this music for about 45 years, i do research, perform and teach too.

Just to underscore ramkrishna ji's point, imho learning from a guru is crucial. Real understanding should come first through practice and then only one might be able to appreciate and understand music literature(if they wish do to so, many musicians keep musicology at an arm's length). Anyhow, doing it the other way is just making the journey infinitely more harder.
