People who just spew out nonsense like "Player A would be an all star if he played today" just don't understand basketball in any sense of the game. Rony wasn't an all star in his own time where he was MUCH better suited to play. He was a good player but not an all-star. Today he would be overseas. Yes, the game has changed in favor of the "pace and space" and is much more offensive friendly but that's for everyone so the advantage is not what you think. Rony would be such a massive defensive liability that he wouldn't be able to play more than maybe 15 minutes a game if he somehow made a roster. His only decent defensive skills was post defense but he was not a good team defender and was too slow to be considered a rim protector. None of that really matters though because what would make him unplayable in any meaningful game would be PnR defense. He would get targeted every single possession by having his man set the screen up by the three point line where he would get blown past. This is why players like Boban can't play meaningful minutes/games. It's the same concerns people would have for Shaq or Ewing but their offense is so elite that they would find a way. Can't say the same for Rony. Also, although he would be able to score in the post with more space and less doubles, no good team would ever run post up plays for Rony for their offense. Points per possession has basically rendered running your offense through posts ups as incredibly ineffective and even players like Embid or Joker who are WAY BETTER post scorers, primarily get the ball further out and face the basket because they then have the option to find cutting teammates in addition to attacking the hoop. This is why players like Rony and Vlade Divac (whose passing would at least make him somewhat playable on offense), wouldn't be able to play in the current era unless they completely changed their bodies to be able to guard on the perimeter.
Thank you for uploading this, was trying to find more of Seikaly’s highlights. He was very underrated and played well in Miami & Orlando along with the Warriors.
it's nice 2 meet u + pls tell me how u feel about the 95 + 96 magic led by shaquille o'neal not being as elite as the 1964 warriors being led by wilt chamberlain

Loved Rony Seikely when he played. Very underrated. He would be an all star in today's NBA for sure.
Probably wouldn’t get the ball unless he worked on his three point shot. Unfortunately! Loved his game.
he’s my cousin lmao

He had all the post moves and a great jumper
Love these highlights! Rony has very quick and powerful moves, honestly think he would fit today's game alright. Reminds me of Domantas Sabonis today
The dude was a beast!! One of the top centers ever
Whoa. Rony was good, but he is NOT considered a top center by any stretch.
@@EtoTheKay I mean many top 100 ? 😅
@@EtoTheKay so he’s actually top 50 in a bleachers report list and top 60 in most lists. So I guess you could say he is a top all time center

Wow for the way he use his body moves 👏
The NBA before "defense" became a thugfest.
Underrated Beast ❤️💪💯
At the 6:20 mark, the commentator is talking about how in four years, Warriors fans will be glad to have Joe Smith over Chris Webber 🤣🤣🤣
Not only did that not age well, it was dumb when he said it 😂😂😂
I would probably rank him in my all time top 5 of NBA players who looked like bartenders. Perhaps even top 3
You did the Rik Smits, as well... Very nice work, how about a Keith Van Horn or a Mark Eaton
Thanks for the video.
I always thought Seikely was the most handsome basketball player in NBA history and he was a pretty good player.....
You are damn right Man
Mr. Drop step
The best Lebanese BB player ever
I've never heard of this guy he had very good footwork
Even Chicago Bulls defence working so hard to stop him. 😀
