What a gift to be so astute to a complete stranger's mood/interaction with another to the point it makes such an impression you actually stop in the moment to jot it down and end up writing a beautiful song about it. That is natural talent, creativity, and a man with a sense of awareness right there. All of those attributes combined with his innate musical abilities is why Flicker is such a success.
i do hope they all get the recognision they deserve now as solo artists. they deserved it as a band as well and there were some huge songs that were so underrated and didnt even get a chance bc of one direction being one direction and a boy band.
I just find it so brilliant how he just came up with such a good concept for an amazing song just from a girl in the bar who seemed to be upset off in the corner and was happily distracted by the waiter that made her laugh that Niall abruptly noticed. It’s so amazing just to see a concept bloom into this miraculous song. This song is incredibly underrated. The message is wholesome.
