Although I am a big fan of DWTS US, I have to admit that Strictly Come Dancing always has the best opening dances! :D I am very excited for this serie....a lot of potential among the celebrities!

I have always liked Peter Andre so will be voting for him, but I loved the girl from Call the Midwife I think her name is Helen she dancing with Aljaž. I can't wait to see what this year brings. x
angelsexylegs My favorites so far are also Peter Andre (his cha cha was mindblowing for a 1st week), Helen George (such a lovely waltz) and Anita Rani (Gleb's celebrity partner). Can't wait for the next episode! :D
+shannara03 Maybe because they have done this tribute thing to MJ, flashdance, Saturday Night Live years and years ago. The song choices used seemed to be really limited and bad. They are using choreographers that have already done most of these routines on SYTYCD or DWTS.

There is hardly any difference, only DWTS airs in America and SCD in England. Gleb moved from DWTS to SCD in 2015, and Len and Bruno appear on both DWTS and SCD. They fly backwards and forwards each week to do strictly and dancing with the stars. So really not much difference, just different professionals and different celebs, and different judges (albeit Len and Bruno). Oh yah, and different presenters!

They can't use the original. BBC doesn't pay for copyright to use the songs. ITV tends to pay to use songs but this is a BBC show.

I miss the days when the pro's just danced. Now it's all telling the same hackneyed story week in, week out.
As great as it is, the whole choreography is basically a rip off of @MsTabularasa 's video for "Shut up and dance", which actually is the better "official" music video to this song. And I think. they should credit her editing talent for this!
