i've never been fond of merzbow tbh. i revisit from time to time simply because he's the most famous name in the japanoise scene, so i keep trying again in the hope that i find that mood that would enable me to like him. but i prefer gerogerigegege and hanatarash.
i always thought was overrated when i listened to japanoise as teenager now i think i have more appreciation for it it's very straight forward and ultra focused. seems usually its just 2 or 3 layers
