    pan handle is for taking shuttle in front of the body. what about shuttle that is over head and also for smashes ?

    • @yarjunaed1317
      @yarjunaed1317 7 лет назад

      50 % pan handle and 50 % normal

    • @minhasali9098
      @minhasali9098 7 лет назад

      RaNa JUNaid My Problem My SoluTioN The more u turn your racket towards pan handle the less pronation u get. it limits your swing and the power generated is less.

    • @coachingbadminton
      @coachingbadminton  7 лет назад +1

      No 50% is far to much.
      I turn about 10degree. When you are late, you dont change. The amount you change is all depending on how much you are taking it in front.
      Even you take shuttlecock in front, if swing is involved, you do not change it more then 15%. Then shuttlecock will be going to the right side as you will naturally
      doing the pronation. Lee

      Coaching Badminton thanks for the reply. one more doubt. i have seen so many coaches saying that you have to tighten the grip just before the impact. before that the grip should be loose. due to the timing of tightening the grip , sometimes i miss hit the shuttle.

    • @coachingbadminton
      @coachingbadminton  7 лет назад +3

      That is very true. The players who have too loose grip before the impact, loose control of racket and miss hit or hit frame a lot.
      Before the hit, too tight or too loose grip is wrong grip. It has to grip right power.
      Let say at the hit, you grip 10 out of 10 then before the hit when you set to hit, you should have to grip about the power of 3-4 out of 10.
      You may grip 0-1 out of 10. Power 0 to grip power 10 takes 1 sec but if you grip power 4 and go to power 10, it will take 0.1 sec. That is why you miss hit. Lee

    Sorry, Coach Lee. My question is probably not related with the video.
    I've seen many of your video using the same racket. Is that your personal/favorite racket?
    What is the type/brand? Also I'm curious, is there any reason why it is your favorite?

    • @coachingbadminton
      @coachingbadminton  7 лет назад +3

      Yes it is my own name branded racket. I like it as it has right weight and flex for me.
      It is one of the best racket but it is stopped. Lee
