  • Sun Dragon has started a knit-a-long in April 2022 for the Ranunculus sweater by Midori Hirose, and I'll be attempting to keep up with some videos that can assist the pattern. I will try not to reveal too much of the pattern, you can get your own copy from the pattern writer on Ravelry (about $6.50):
    www.ravelry.co...
    We love this pattern in the shop because it is so customizable, you can make it on any yarn from a lace weight to worsted weight, can alter the neckline, sleeve length, and torso length, and since it's designed to have enormous positive ease, you can do all of it on a size 10 needle, often without testing your gauge.
    This video is the ninth in the series, laying out as clearly as I can some tips for making sure things are lining up in the lace 4-leaf flower section of the yoke, rows 17-21.
    I'll be doing my best to build a playlist of videos that I've already make that could be helpful as well.
    Consider subscribing, suggest videos you want to see below, and check out the Sun Dragon Sideshow, Liz and I are always making fun things. We will be talking a lot about the Ranunculus as well during this knit-a-long over there:

    Let me know what else you would be interested in seeing in a video :)

    I don't know what I did, but I forgot about the stitch marker hint and ended up with a 3-leaf clover. I like it, and I'm lazy so it stays.

    Thank you for these - they are so helpful as I try my first sweater! I’m so glad you mentioned your cat as I kept looking through them house and deck to see where the cat was trying to come in - and I don’t even have a cat! 🐈‍⬛

    Again - thank you so much. Putting in markers every 6 stitches on row 19 was a pain, but worth it for 19 and 21.

    Thank you SO much for helping me make my first sweater. I am confused in Round 26. I am told to insert my RHN between the 1st and 2 nd stitch and then k 2. (Same pattern on row 2 directed me to insert needle between 2nd and 3rd stitch. Are the directions for round 26 correct and therefore “fiddly.” Thanks.

    Hi Thank you for your videos. I have finished my first Ranunculus. I had a bit of an issue with the sleeves. I'd like to add a few rows to the sleeves. Do you think you'll be offering a sleeve tutorial? I'm working on my second Ranunculus and can really use your help. Thank you.

    • @SunDragonTipsTricks
      @SunDragonTipsTricks  2 года назад

      Hi Yolanda, thanks for the feedback! I also saw you joined the FB group ❤️ I may make a sleeve video, not sure yet, I’m making them as I progress on my own Ranunculi. Are you hoping to add rows to the one you already made or the new one? Which type of sleeve length are you referring to? Around running a yarn shop full time, I’m doing what I can….. 🥵❤️ People on the FB group may be able to help too.

      @@SunDragonTipsTricks Thank you for getting back to me. The directions were a bit confusing. I want to add a few rows but still want a short sleeve. I saw your tutorial from today. Thank you so much. Super helpful. And I just recently found your podcast. I'll look up your store and check out some of your kits and or yarn for the Ranunculus.

    Love from the Netherlands Europe! You’re a Great and inspiring teacher. 👍😊
    I have a question about the pattern, the rows after the 4 flower petals. But before the start of the raglan sleeves
    Row 31 to be exact. When I knit exactly the way as described in the pattern, the result looks different from what I see on most pictures of Ranunculus sweaters. Do you have any advice?

    • @SunDragonTipsTricks
      @SunDragonTipsTricks  Год назад

      ❤️I’m not sure what to advise, in my copy rows 30 and 31 are the same as rows 2 & 3 of the yoke 🤷‍♀️❤️
