Cable Cast On / 目の間を編み出す作り目

This video shows how to "Cable Cast On, starting at the middle of the row".
I made this video for my knitting pattern "Pappus pullover" and "Ranunculus".
The video does not have sound and is meant to be followed visually.

The red looped yarn is a DIY stitch marker. In this case it helps to clearly show the new stitches vs the existing stitches.

What does the red loop represent please? I'm knitting the Ranunculus Sweater. Beautiful pattern! :-)

I think it is used as a divider to show the difference between the "normal stitches" and the cable stitch. I am just about to start this part of the Ranunculus Sweater too :) Great knit ... hope it turns out great for you
