I remember keeping the Popeyes helicopter in our hangar in Grand Rapids, Michigan in 1989 when the circuit came to Grand Haven, Michigan. That was the year it was so rough that Popeyes cracked their hull.

Average speeds all depend on the water conditions..coplands boat was the fastest of the fleet of super boats .135 mph...and the enclosed Popeyes was around 145 to 150...he was so ahead of the times..so in ideal waters Popeyes would have an average of 100 to105...even the new boats today can only do a certain speed in rough water ..
