I wanted to touch on something you said about Saffronman's video. I completely agree that him going at Nubs is in poor taste. If anything, he should have been calling out Plarium. Nubs was a guest nor did he know anything about them doing the awards until they approached him. So his frustration should ONLY be with Plarium

Nubs consciously knowing this is what leaves a bad taste in peoples mouth. It’s also concerning how many people are ok with plagiarism, even at a smaller degree, throwing out your morals just to defend your favorite content creator who could give a shit about you. No one can own rights to an award show, it’s the individual detailed ideas he came up with going into that award show where he felt robbed. What other emotion/reaction did you expect Saff to have? That it’s all rainbows and sunshines? No that’s unrealistic, it’s what’s expected from this world. For you not to recognize this shows your lack of empathy. Jgigs even has the same sentiments towards this whole ordeal. A simple recognition shoutout would’ve prevented all of this from happening. I feel like No Dime December did make a bit of an impact, combined with the rise of 2 LEGITIMATE contenders in the space in the form of Watcher of Realms and Dragonhier - not that those titles will REPLACE RAID, but they can definitely cut into RAID's player base and potential money.
For sure I spent over $600 this past weekend in W.o.R. after raid ef up the progressive chance when I pulled 109 shard and did not get anything back for there fuck up
I haven't spent anything in RAID in months, while I've dropped about $150 in WoR in that time. Not a LOT, but likely more soon - I just haven't FULLY committed to WoR for the long term yet.
They did a bang up job "celebrating the community" yesterday with the auto battles & silver for losing my mercy, 25x & shards from their Gnut glitch. They basically admitted what the progressive event & our time is really worth to them.
I don't see how the malfunction affected your mercy. You got the exactly the same number of epics & legos as you would have if it had been working correctly. It just affected which epics & legos you got. Your mercy would've been reset upon pulling a lego, regardless of whether progressive chance was working or not.
@alwaysdisputin9930 People pulled only because they expected a greater chance for Gnut. Intentional or not they mislead people into summoning. Doesn't matter what they pulled it's player deception and rate summoning manipulation that's the larger issue. That's what people aren't getting.
You can blame Plarium, but in the end it’s your fault. You have to manually select which champion you want for your progressive champ and you should have known something was up when you didn’t do that.
@voldemort008 1 The progressive chance was there at first and you were able to choose 2 most people saw the 2x event had started cause it was still there and summoned. are they to blame still if they didn't even know there was a progressive chance supposed to be there? @@alwaysdisputin9930 Neither the 25x nor the champ selection registered. Even after the reboot the 25x I'd earned wasn't put in place. Which I was counting on for higher odds as I continued to pull for Gnut. They said, through the support ticket, it would be fixed on Saturday so I could still pull for the event, but it never was. I used my mercy and was depending on that for the increased odds, so I waited, & waited, & waited... and got some auto battles for the trouble & loss of opportunity & loss of mercy...
As a player that's becoming more invested (not financially and doesn't care about the drama stuff) in the game, this is really good stuff to see. Makes them start to feel like they are becoming a much closer to their community. Also personally I would like a little model of some champs to decorate my place with, so plarium need to get some nice merch going.
Even time investment is still an investment.
That honestly would be a nice idea when it comes to making some bank outside of pay to win mechanics. If they can stir up enough hype from the community this way I see that becoming a thing.
Raid's potential to be so much more than the typical gacha game is insane and I always appreciate when they take steps in that direction but lets not forget all the things raid does wrong and where we would love to strive to see change. You can 100% achieve your business goals whilst also hitting user goals, it does not need to lean extremely one way or another

The community need to do a "No Spend Year" they plarium will start to care players not spending for a month isn't going to hurt their pockets at all.

im still sour for the FOMO that was archer nergigante. Spent a couple hundred dollars (usualy f2p or ocasional gem packs/forgepass) and got Duchesse but its not what i wanted. On the other hand, Angar became my main provoker in hydra thanks to his buffs and all the other ones i have dont even comme close, he is a BEAST now! and i couldnt be happier for him. I wish athel got a buff directed towards fireknight instead of aoe but its whatever, shes in the back of the line as a to build champ.
i love their updates/QoL this year and they finally patch the points showing up before you open the shards and its such a simple thing that annoy the CRAP outta me lol.
Now i wish they would reduce silver cost from certain places because they made it clear they wont remove it completely. They neeed to do something about it and i think we need to be more vocals with this problem. Do we really need silver to learn skills from books? do we really need to pay to sacrifice our 1-2-3-4-5 star champions? Same for exp brews, PLEASE plarium throw us a bone.

Im not sure if they are out of ideas and letting us do the work to create a skill set (not complaining), I actually like the idea it allows player to choose there own adventure which im a fan of. The only question i really have is if we will be able to write in our own vote for a CC, cause as most of us in the community know its a crying shame that Saph is not in the CC program and I would love to be able to write him in for my vote
I 'we got 15 ancient shards, 1 5 star chicken, 4x 50 auto battle tokens, 400 energy and 1.5mil silver as a compensation for the shard pulls when it was bugged. and it came with the message "You may have recently experienced issues playing raid due to certain in-game bugs. That's our fault, and we've sent a few items to your inbox to apologize for the inconvenience." That was fair and I never thought that Plarium will do it
I'm almost sure that anything that happens in game where is not clear what you are getting from your currency that can be bought for real money can be viewed as a false advertise. companies are scared of that so they compensate
I got 10 shards, and some of the other goodies too. pulled 60ish I believe during that time.
I pulled 20 ancient shards and still haven't received them back yet.
I got energy mulibattles and some pots..25 shards pulled. They can shove it

Personally i love everything they are doing, to me plarium has "mostly" started to turn a new leaf this year in terms of communication, qol, balancing, quality of fuaions etc..
They always do something like this then piss off the player base 😒 don't fall fie their tricks

I can't disagree but, when you do nothing for so long and then do a little it seems like so much. They have a long way to go when it comes to rebalancing and QoL that at this rate they will never catch up. It's like paying the minimum payment on a loan. You will pay for every and never make a dent.
I'm just happy for the fact that they brought back the guaranteed legendary events. We went throughout almost all of 2023 without any of those.

Hopefully, on the choice legendary we will get a mixture of Affinity and Type we do not already have(Magic Support/Force HP/Void Defense) would love to see someone that blocks sheep and skill lockdown. As for Chronicler /AD-uh-lin/ like Madelyn without the "M" I see she is a "support" and would love to see her "support" Rathalos Blademaster with burns because only Sethalia from what I see has burns in that whole faction.

No not much has changed. I put in the ticket about the screw up and got an automated basic response saying absolutely nothing for their two times not being active. I questioned them seriously about not having a shard mercy counter because I've gone 170. Yes, I've been counting void charts with no Lego and I've gotten one in the last 300 void shards pulled, I don't know how many ancients but I've pulled hundreds of those with nothing totally ignored that part of my concern

I have an idea for a champion, a new class called explorers, so not damage dealer or support. They can serve somewhat different roles in the game too, you can use them to scout out a dungeon where you get different bonuses depending on how long they have been scouting that area, and the bonuses are only active when they are scouting an area.
You can also send them out on missions where they can get clues to locations of mythical gear and once you have collected all the clues there is a 1% chance that the item will be dropped from a specific dungeon.
Or they can change the affinity of a dungeon, like from force to magic once they have fully scouted a dungeon. They can not be used to scout cb, iron golem etc etc.
They are neither support nor damage dealers either, nor do they provide lockdown, what they do have is a strong aura that can be changed with the use of silver or sacrificing gear and some time to change it. It can be def, acc, hp, res etc etc. His aura will automatically be the aura your team is running with regardless of if he is the leader or not. The aura should also have small bonuses, like a 3% hp regeneration to all champions, removing a debuff from a champion, giving 5% speed to your champions and each turn you decide which small bonus it gives for that turn only. They dont provide buffs nor debuffs, they dont deal a lot of damage but they are pretty tanky and they dispel debuffs off from themselves.
They should be able to provide a lot of fun for the players, they are mostly a gimmick but a fun one. Then you can have different explorers that are good at somewhat different things.

Usually I am not one to give a crap about CC drama or griefs, just stuff to get views usually. This time however I am in agreement with you here. I saw the other videos and I think it's a little disingenuous that an old Raid CC who has not been involved with the game for a couple of years gets mad that "his idea" was "stolen". It would be different if he was still part of the Raid CC program and got completely snubbed, then yeah definitely I would be on his side. But awards shows are not exactly a groundbreaking unique idea. I think other CC's took up his "cause" simply because they gain viewership and traction from people's bitterness towards the game.

In my experience - if players actually unify, especially on not spending money - game companies have a tendency to take note and suddenly start listening more. Least the ones that care about surviving.
Though I think the big question is with the A3/2 usually where it'd go - are they going to give us the option to make this guy the 4th champ with a full team/skullcrusher counterattack cause at last check it's still only SC, Valk, and Martyr that have it and it's one of the most useful things in the damn game that's near impossible to get.
On the one hand, it is good that they're involving the community.
That is never going to be a bad thing, for a game.
On the other hand, with the last few champions followed by an event for their soul...
I am kind of burnt out, and am pretty much just doing the daily Clan Boss hits, the weekly Hydra hits and the clan minimum for CvC.
A month to recharge, both resources and personal energy is a good idea.
At this stage I'm at "do the minimum" but still continue to play... the enthusiasm isn't there currently.
I think the vault keeper skills fusions thing is a mive in the right direction but from a company image perspection but they are starting from -1500
I would like to see the treasure chest on his back turn into a mimic or have something come out of it when going through his skills. Maybe even a reverse Urashima Taro where he gets young when the chest opens up.
Plarium has done really well, first with the Anniversary and now all these concepts look fun and engaging. Even if they don't come off as homeruns we can't say Raid aren't trying and I say this as a harsh 5 year player pissed off about the progressive shard pull compensation.
It would be nice to see some collaborations on the skills choices given and possible applications for a great new champion thanks for the great videos.
i would had preferred each could choose the skills type exc for this champ so when you would face him it would be a mystery. for one he would be a nuker and for the other a support. would also give more strat for stuff. now i fear the big clans will just join hands and basicly will force what the skills will be exc.
Wixwell skill set is going to be hard to synergize with this kind of format. Unless one of the CC's takes charge and organizes everyone to vote for a "best" skill set, it's likely to be a mishmash of unrelated skills.

The voting for a fusion champ's skills is a very good marketing tactic! He's also likely gonna be an expensive fusion since the community will be invested in him already. Start saving your resources people!

@@awilliams765 That would have been a great option. As a very low spender in the game, like $40 over almost 2 years, I've never completed a fusion, so I don't even plan on gong for this one. It would be one thing if you could get a fusion by either spending time or money from the time the fusion starts, but having to either 1.) spend a bunch of money and put in the time, or 2.) have been storing up resources for months and then invest a lot of time, focus, and energy on doing things just right to complete a fusion as a low spend/ftp player just discourages me from even bothering.
What is great about that fusion is that players will not need to feel pressured into getting the fusion done as it will be available in Shards after.
Wish I hadn't just blow 9 sacreds going for the hydra archer in the 15x. Evrytime I pulled the trigger on pulling shard I never get what I'm going g for and something cool gets announced lol
stop pilling them up and be sure. 9 sacreds are no where near a guarantee pull
The compensation for the last chase was great idea! It really helped tamper down some of the heated players that missed out. The best ever gifts was during the Arbiter celebration last year. If they did something like that monthly or bi-monthly it would keep more players playing.
I'm just excited I'll finally have a chance at a Sacred Order leggo... been playing since Deliana chase... Adelyn will be my 5th Banner Lord...but Wixwell will be my 1st S.O.
Having us pick the next abilities can be great but a nightmare at the same time for many reasons. Now, with them giving us the chance, it would make a lot more players play the game more. Get us excited for a fusion we get to build and such. As for the bad, well, everyone in the game needs help in one way or another. From Hydra, to CB, Fire Knight hard, to Cursed City. There's many different areas where we are good and bad at. And I'm a little afraid we might make the champs abilities a Frankenstein one. Where they are all over the game and just won't work well with each other.
Creating a champ by committee (of millions) is likely to create an anti-synergy of abilities e.g one group wants ally protect & another group wants C DMG. So we end up with a champ no one uses because C DMG is bad on an ally protector.
I haven’t been excited about anything in the game for awhile…..I’ve switched to an everyday all quest/keys/fusions/forge pass completed to just doing the minimum CB, Hydra

We really need to decide what type of champion that we make the new guy. Personally, I’m in favor of either an enemy max hp champ similar to Acrizia.
A set of Champion skills established by player-community choice is a brilliant marketing tool, so I give Plarium credit. (Not to channel Santana, but maybe they are trying to change their evil ways!)
If one of the set of options is far and away better than the other two, that will likely be the winner. But I wonder what will happen if the voting is fairly even?

Plarium should get praise for doing something new, the make your own fusion is a great idea and free champs are always good too.
Free lego is always nice for me. I think second guy will be defense champ and will be paired with free champ for extra damage.
I agree that Saffronman going after Nubs is in bad taste and I appreciate that you speak out for him. But in regards to the negative response of Saffronman in general I think it stems more from Raid not being very cooperative when he produced the community awards and now they are ripping off the idea without even a mention of it's origin. I certainly can understand how that would sour him.
He's trying to claim ownership of the idea of an awards show, which is ridiculous. Awards shows have been around for longer than his lifetime, no one owns the idea.

A person who has bad habits doesn't get to wipe everything clean because they do 1 thing correctly. When Plarium can prove, over and over again, that they care and will take care of the community then maybe, and only maybe, can they get a free pass or trust. Until then they are still slimy.

Im sure the list of potential skills is predetermined with different groups. No way would they just give us a list of skills and allow the fan base to control the skills. Development-wise, it would be a nightmare trying to balance the skills based of the wants of the players.
I've invested a coin or two here and there. However my worry is like a past game i invested in that desolved our of existence. Would Plarium decide we've milked this for all it's worth and whale's are finished with being poached will they throw in the towel. That would suck especially if on that last few days I finally pull my Duchess, Helicath a second Gnut and complete the faction crypts for Lydia.
Question are they going to show the multipliers, lets hope so

Wow, Plarium actually doing cool stuff for the community? Color me surprised. Pleasantly, but certainly surprised. Feels a little bit like the Golden Gnomes from Runescape and I like it. Love the idea of a community built champion and the new login champ has one of my favorite designs in the game now, I think. Very surprised, very pleased. Now Plarium, just let us pick which doom tower champs to go after please..?
They should put out all the skills at the same time.

Community build champ could be a bit of a miss match as we kinda of build a kit as we go. All depends on the skills I suppose
Remove 1 random buff from target and apply it to all allies. Allies will receive the buff as PROTECTED.
Put him in Relentless, take him to Hydra. Suck it Mischief!

I’d rather we vote on a kit by champion type as opposed to skill by skill. Now we risk the community builds a champ with no synergy or the trolls win the day and we build a fusion every can skip.

Has Plarium turned a corner? Highly doubt. I think no dime december had 0 impact on their machinations. This community engagement sounds great, but don't think it will last. I believe you said it best, Plarium loves to go 1 step forward, then 2 steps back.

Shame, could've been cool if we could create a champion for ourselves as a unique version in what would would be 'best' for each our acount where we get to choose from a selection of skills.
My money goes to that most of the playerbase will vote for something that will somehow be useless or uninteresting to me.
These events are pretty good especially for Raid. The new Fusion with skill voting is a very fun idea. I am definately interested in the vote for skills then that champ being a fusion. But even more impressive is the improved Free Log In Leggo and they are giving us a soul. I hope its a 2 or 3* soul but this is very good for new players. This community week is very cool. BUT can they keep from screwing it up?!?!?!

They should make it so the FTP legendaries are avaiable to all players for a catch up system
yeah but the bad thing is as a free to play player it will probably take like 7.5 till 10k points per tournament this is nearly undoable for free to play players. i already play since release and I haven't even managed to get a single fusion completed.

I like it. A new freebie and a chose your own champ kind of deal is good for the community in my opinion. I hope it goes well, and we see more things like this in the future.

I know people love to sht on Plarium, and i do too. They absolutely deserve it most of the time. But at the same time we need to give props when they deserve it. And this is one of those moments. Good job Plarium! More of this stuff please :)
They should add more to the campaign, faction wars, and basic dungeons
