Love the music in this video, late 80s had some great royalty free music. Really feeling the one that starts at 0:34 and ends at 1:53 A tip not mentioned in this video, sound your horn during blind corners, that way any pedestrians/vehicles will know that a forklift is coming around the corner.
6:45 So what happend here was the driver left it in neutral without setting the parking brake so it rolled foward into him not to mention the forks were raised he could of avoided death by lowering the forks putting the forklift in park then getting out to get the box that fell get back in release the parking brake and back out.
I have experience wet conditions in a isle lift truck with hard wheels if you can AVOID it because it could have lead to crashing into a rack or a person. It's like driving a car on ice you just have to ride it out and its scary luckily no one was hurt and nothing was damaged. It's like there is no steering or brakes at all. In a heavy rain the newly built roof was leaking and made puddles on the slick smooth floor in the warehouse
I think some of the hot dog drivers posting videos on You Tube showing how "great" they are need to review this video and need to reconsider their driving habits.
This video explains the basics of forklift safety, and shows how to operate a forklift safely. Learn more about forklifts here: www.roughterrainforklifts.com.au/

9:48 OSHA safety violation. Traveling in reverse without looking behind yourself. ALWAYS look in the direction of travel. Period

When turning corners or when entering a different department, always sound horns. I didnt hear any in video..
I have only one test for a driver. Pick up a quarter off of the deck using just the blade's without getting off of the lift.
OSHA doesn't exist and neither do these unrealistic jobs...Nothing would get done if anyone worked like the people in these videos.
