    42:35 Drilling those holes with that tool, would cost me 12 years of my life.

    Nice work mate!
    I love to see blokes making good useful things with basic (read affordable!) equipment, skill and a bit of ingenuity. Keep it up!
    But, a little advice, don't weld on galv anything! Just get the plain "black" steel. Also, long nuts are better than two short nuts. And lastly, continuous welds are always stronger than a few dabs (unless its MIG) you get too many slag inclusions if you 'stop/start' without chipping it off.
    And well done on getting the base flat before putting the top on! Only the second bench video I've seen where someone has done that.
    PS - acid (hydrochloric or muriatic, depending on where you live, or even vinegar) will remove rust and mill scale.

    I bought 100A plasma and P80 straight steel machine torch for CNC. I am making electronics for 5 inch touch screen THC. I bought 2000x1000x1.5mm steel sheet and cut it in one piece for water pan and 14 pieces for grill. I want to make 1100x800x100mm plasma water pan but I don't have press to bend sheet. But when I put plasma on my cnc the very first project will be 10mm thick welding table because I have Gude welding table with 2.3mm thick fixture plate and it is not perfect. My problem is bending sheet for water pan. There are 10-15 workshops with hydraulic benders in my town but no one want to accept job to make only 4 bends ☹ BTW I tried plasma and it cuts 40mm iron plate so it would be interesting to see what it can do combined with my diy CNC.

      You don't need a press to make the water basin. I have made many without a press, even in thicknesses greater than 1.5mm. Watch this video to see how it's done: ruclips.net/video/KyISgG2FLBU/видео.html from 0'57'' - 2'45''

      *If you're making a welding table, don't drill the 10mm plate with a plasma cutter, but use a magnetic drill instead. The plasma cutter leaves a bevel on the cuts and doesn't have the precision of a drill. There is a high chance of damaging the plate.

    Hola. Buen trabajo. !!!!! Me ha gustado mucho, estoy copiando tu proyecto. Aunque con alguna modificación. Me podrías, verificar dos datos? El grosor de la placa son 6 mm. ? Y los orificios de 18 mm. ? Saludos y gracias por tus ideas 👍

    • @AGmetalart
      @AGmetalart  3 месяца назад

      Sí, el grosor de la chapa es de 6 milímetros. Inicialmente intenté hacer los agujeros de 16 milímetros, pero como no pude lograr precisión, me vi obligado a ampliarlos a 18 milímetros.

    What thickness flat bars are you using for the box structure?

      @@AGmetalart Thanks. Great seeing you use ingenuity and basic tools to build. I was thinking of adding some wood or sheet metal trays underneath for tool storage.

      @@gamernerd7139 Surely it's better to utilize the downstairs area as well. I would do the same if I had the table inside the shop. Now that I have it outside, I don't leave tools out when I'm away

    Nice work but I wouldn’t have done it without a magnetic drill. Just wondering how long did it take you to make that table ?

    • @AGmetalart
      @AGmetalart  9 месяцев назад +1

      It's true that the drilling proved to be difficult for me. Certainly, with a magnetic drill, the job would have been much easier. The holes in the sheet metal took significantly more time than the entire rest of the construction. I would say 80% or even more,
      of the total time required
