Andrew is a truly special guy. The kids have an exceptional rolemodel to aspire to be like or, in Scout's case, to seek out. The philodendron and pothos plants that you have you can make new plants all of your own just pluck the leaf off stick it in some water and it will grow roots and you can plant that in dirt so you can create your own plants without having to go buy more big hugs big love to you all

Well you could spend much less and live in asia with a similar build/lifestyle? I paid $100/sqm for a similar plot of land in the mountains near a city. I'm building a house atm it'll cost around $120k-150k and 5BR, 3 bath + solar panels and it's 30-40 mins by car going to the beach.

You know all of it’s public record.. just look it up. You can see how much any of them pay for their homes.. you’d be surprised.

My dad spent 2 years growing a pineapple, he was so proud of it. He was days away from picking it and it got eaten by a possum. It was devastating.
Love this video💜! I didn't know Breadfruit grew in Hawaii. Here in Jamaica we eat Breadfruit boiled, roasted or fried. U can roast it whole, with the stem removed, in the oven at 350° for an hour or on an open flame until the skin turns black and charred (my fave way as it has a smoky flavour). We usually slice the leftovers thinly and fry them up to have with breakfast the next day 😋 yumm!

This may be a dumb question, but I don’t see your family eat a lot of apples. Are apple trees uncommon in Hawaii??
That is such an interesting question, I am following
No they don’t grow there. Apples have to be shipped to Hawaii and it’s very expensive. Apples grow best in climates where it's cold in winter, moderate in summer and has medium to high humidity. I know this cuz I live in Washington and we grow the most apples :))
Apples are a fall fruit and won’t grow great in tropical areas.

I had no idea there were deer in Hawaii. I thought they only lived in colder/seasonal climates.
The house is so beautiful, airy and cozy at the same time :) The children are sooo cute 🥰. I just love seeing happy and beautifully raised children. They deserve all the love and care ❤️
My kids and i watching this wishing we could grow our own bananas!! 🍌 We go through a 40lb box every 2 weeks which costs us about $730 a year 😅 but this past year i discovered a store that sells Organic Bananas for $8 per 40lb box versus the $28 we pay per 40lb box normally 🤲🏼 so that has cut our costs significantly!! We buy 3 boxes at a time, let them ripen then stash in our deep freezer and use strictly for smoothies. Then i buy every two weeks for fresh eating.

The amount of bananas we go through as a family is insane! A banana farm would help hahaha I’m pregnant with my 4th baby and it’s my 3rd vegan pregnancy. We also homeschool!! Your videos inspire me so much to eat healthier and just be a better mom, to be more patient and loving and just enjoy my children! Love your space it’s just amazing to see how much it’s changed with all the work you guys have put into it!

How did you end up living in Hawaii?
I wish you’d slow down. The editing was so fast and choppy I could barely even see the rooms. It was mostly your face talking and then you’d show 1.5-2.5 seconds of the room (which would be blurry or overexposed) and then go back to your face talking. I’m half way through and this seems more like an update diary than an actual house tour like I’m used to seeing on RUclips. You are beautiful and the home seems amazing, I just wish we could have had more than a few mere seconds to even look at it!!! 😟
Also that breadfruit tree is BEGGING for food. It looks really deficient in magnesium. Remember Hawaii’s PH is a mess, for optimal nutrition and health of plants you need to fertilize and provide supplement to the trees.
