Shark Fin Bookmark Crochet Pattern

  • Here is the video tutorial for my shark fin bookmark pattern! If you prefer a written pattern, there is a free version on my Ribblr and a low cost PDF in my web shop, Ravelry, and Etsy!

    Materials:
    10 yards size 10 crochet thread (I used Aunt Lydia’s in the color “Stone”)
    Poly-fil (optional)
    2mm hook
    Embroidery needle
    Stitch markers (optional)
    Scissors

    Thanks for this! Any tips on making a slightly larger fin? I used this tutorial with worsted weight yarn and a size 5 hook, but I need it to be just a wee bit larger. ❤

      Using even bulkier yarn and a larger hook would be easiest. If you want to change the size of the worsted weight one, you could theoretically add extra stitches. The shaping is on the edges so you could add an extra stitch or two in the middle. Just keep in mind that any changes to the stitches will change the final look and you might have to play around to get it to look like you want (particularly near the top of the fin).
