I love Martinu's music. I've heard this concerto once or twice before. This was a lovely performance. I'm so glad that you're showcasing your principal soloists in these concerts.

The inspiration of this concerto is typical of Martinu's last creative period. Note the presence of a piano in the orchestra, a feature that he loved.

Wunderschöne und lyrische Aufführung dieses neoklassischen und perfekt komponierten Konzerts mit herrlichem Ton der genialen Solo-oboe sowie farbenreichen und perfekt entsprechenden Tönen anderer Instrumente. Der zweite Satz klingt besonders schön und etwas mysteriös. Die geniale Dirigentin leitet das kompakte und ausgezeichnete Orchester im gut phrasierten Tempo und mit perfekt kontrollierter Dynamik. Einfach wunderbar!

Your sound is very antiseptic and unmusical and your understanding of this piece is very robotic and mechanical. And it is also EXTREMELY unprofessional to blow out your octave vent directly into the microphone. This is just an ok performance.

I’m an oboist and this is extremly difficult concert, that this guy played just how Martinu would like to listen to. You know nothing about playing the Oboe i suppose. This was brilliant! Congratulations to the soloist and the orchestra!
