Craigmillar was one of our favorite castles in Scotland, found it due to Outlander, but loved learning the real history and intrigue of its past! 🤗👍 👏👏
Isn't it just majestic? I was honestly so blown away. So glad you enjoyed your visit! It's history is on another level too. Thank you for watching. Appreciate you!
Hi Alessa and Brett, this Castle was stunning, living your narration. Such an enormous fireplace in the lovely room where everyone gathered. Beautiful scenery from the top of the castle. Such interesting history. The Skeleton in the wall would of been a very interesting find. Really enjoyed this series. The drone footage was amazing as usual. Take care x Julie and Tony x
I really loved this Castle! I can’t even imagine how much time it must take you to gather the histories for your narration of these wonderful historical places you’ve taken us to. I so enjoy how you set the mood for these videos with the playing of the bagpipes! Nicely done 👍 Oh my! an upright skeleton buried in the wall must have been quite a startling find😱 I loved the whole series and all the wonderful stories of each one. Congratulations to you and Brett on a production you can be well proud of.
Full story and very impressive Castle 🏰. A breathtaking and stunning views again. Amazing Alessa 👍. Thank you 🙏🏻 for sharing to us❤️. Have a nice day 👍.
Wow, the castle has some fascinating stories. Your narration was so interesting to listen to and really brought the castle to life. I really admire your in-depth research. Such a magnificent castle, and so well preserved. You really saw the magnitude of it from the air. Great video! ❤
Stunning castle, Brett and Alessa. Always enjoy hearing about the history and seeing these amazing places. Some are just ruins, but this is remarkably well maintained! Interesting story about Mary's husbands demise. Shame to blow up a perfectly good different castle and then botch the cover-up story! 🤣🤣What a horrible way to go if the skeleton found was buried alive. Love all your "Pinned Places!" Thanks for bringing us along.
Glad you enjoyed it Dave & Kathy can only begin to appreciate your kind support! Thank you for taking the time to comment and watch, Love you both, GO PACKERS! 🏈
Awesome tour Looks a fabulous place to have a look around. Seems to have quite a bit of history for its 350 years of use. Enjoyed the music choices too 👍
Thank you so much Paul, can only appreciate your comment, as you know Scotland is full to the brim with amazing history, thank you so much for watching!
@@PinnedonPlaces you are welcome my dear, its my pleasure, thank you for uploading a good content, so blessed that I found your channel, looking forward to your next adventure vlog
That was a very good video of Craigmillar Castle. I have been there & yes, it does seem to be overshadowed by the larger Edinburgh Castle, which is, of course, a very impressive castle indeed. How different all must have been when Queen Mary stayed at Craigmillar. Edinburgh would have been so small compared to now, but impressive nevertheless, surrounded by its city walls. Also, so much land would then have separated the Craigmillar Castle & the city of Edinburgh. Thank you for that video.
Oh my thank you very much for the kind comments, really do appreciate them! Ah, we loved Craigmillar, i would love to do Stirling and Edinburgh, but the busyness just gets to me hehe. But we will venture there at some point. Queen Mary certainly chose a architecturally beautiful place to seek some solace! Thank you again for your comments Rob, appreciated as always!
Wow. This is a really fascinating place. The skeleton. Yikes. So much research goes into these and as always a great edit - hope you two are doing well. And have a good week ahead. 👍👍
Wow, this castle is very well preserved and so big. I imagine a castle that size required a lot of people to keep it constantly going. It must have been a hive of activity in it's day.
Love this Castle and it's in Edinburgh where I stay! :-) In many ways, I prefer this castle to its more popular City counterpart! Great job capturing it as you always do! :-)
I totally agree! Edinburgh is absolutely stunning, but Craigmillar has all the personality and the history to boot. Can only thank you kindly for your support and your amazing comments!
This castle is on my to-film list for years now. Despite the fact it is only half an hour from my home I somehow can't do it 😁. The same with Stirling Castle, Falkirk Wheel or The Kelpies - I'm somehow so familiar with them and visited them so many times I can't force myself to go there again and film them 😂😂.
Would be neat to see some of the colours actually painted on some of the crests...maybe even just one even. Amazing history in these castles...quite something!! Bruce and Otis
Oh i completely agree, would love to see the great hall painted in those medieval colours. One day! hehe!! Thank you so much for commenting and for watching!!
Much better than Edinburgh Castle! Always loved that place. For some reason I misinterpreted the red in "Drone Assist" and didn't dare to fly there. Thanks for the history lesson as well.
Meant to say how much I liked this video
Thank you Catherine, appreciated. 🥰
