i know ppl dont count XG as kpop or whwatever, and rightfully so, but i think they are setting a new standard to idol groups in general. not just the talents and techniques, but how they approach their music. when they say they wanted to do a full hip hop song, they went all out dedicating all the time and effort to the beat and the rap lines instead of adding pop elements in there just so that it would fit the population's palette better for views counts. its not a half ass "hip hop song" with only a few rap lines in there. XG is like a ice cold fresh lemonade during a scorching hot summer day. soooo refreshing.
