With the new season starting I started getting questions on the new Umrah visa rules, what you need in terms of vaccines and also apps for Saudi Arabia.
I am coving everything you need for Umrah in 2022 /2023 and unless they change the rules these should remain.
After the 5min I cover the Haramain train review and tips and answer questions about what luggage you can take with you on the Haramain train for Umrah, what about getting to Makkah and Medinah etc.
The blog posts I mention are here and they cover all the updates and rules for the train and also the tourist visa for Saudi for Umrah.
If things change this is normally where I will post it as soon as possible and then update YT!

Taxi is better. It takes four hours and they give you door to door service. Cor train you have to arrive an hour early plus you need ride from and to train station. Ticket price for two same as taxi fair. It takes about the same time

I have a confusion. It says you can carry one large travel bag of 25 kgs and one small hand bag. Is small 2 wheeler handcarry equivalent to small hand bag? Or it should be something like a small backpack type?

Question. So can I bring one standard luggage along with my carryon on the train? I’m flying in from Toronto to Jeddah and from there we are catching the Haramain train to Jeddah a couple of hours later.

No the limit was removed I believe for this season

Yes there are.
is there a train from jeddah airport to makkah?
I would also urge people who intend to visit Mecca and Medina to check with the hotel they intend to stay at if they require you to be vaccinated against Covid-19. Do this before you book the hotel. I visited Jeddah and Medina in June but had to cancel my hotels in Mecca and Medina due to them requiring guests to be double vaccinated. I used Airbnb for my stay in Medina in the end. I really hope that they lift the vaccine requirement for the hotels in the holy cities as I would like to visit Mecca in November, insha'Allah.

You will need to speak with an Umrah agent for this as on Umrah visa you have more restrictions.

You won't. If you get visa on arrival you sign up after you get your visa. Any slot available you book
I booked train for Medina to Jeddah Airport and they charged my bank twice. Once the day I booked and then after 2 days. I wrote email to them but no reply. Train is for 2nd of September. How can I ask for refund?

Can i ask about the jeddah airport train to Makkah? How far is it from airport and how easy is it to book on the day? My flight is late so I don't want to book my train until I'm free from immigration
The airport is just across the terminal. Very easy. About 5min walk. The entrance is opposite the taxi rank.

can you say about luggage.. like per head how many luggage is allowed. We hv one big suitcase and a small one. So do we need to pay extra? Or is it allowed?
please check the comments below. Some have had issues and others not. I would stick with what their site says and you can find it on the link in the video.

Are the Haramain Railway very particulat about luggage dimensions? I beleive their requirements are 65x55x35.
And my luggage is 75x55x35. Would that be problem?
It really depends on the guards to be honest I haven't had issues but others had. So ots a luck of the draw

I don’t see an option in eatamarna app for tawaf other than umrah, how do we go about that? Do they allow tawaf downstairs if your are not doing umrah (like you’ve already done umrah and want to go for tawaf and pray near kaaba again later)?
Normally they don't you will do tawaf in the other mataf
personally as a woman if you don't get checked, I have done downstairs :)

I have taken the vaccine for covid 1st and 2nd dose, no booster dose. And as a dental student I took the mass vaccination that happened here.. and I don't have any registration with my identity card.. so, basically there is no proof of my vaccination.. now my family is planning for omrah.. plz enlighten me if I also can go.. and if there will be any problem on immigration

I will be doing a video on this. BUt I have an article on the Haramain train in the description. Makkah station is the one from the airport. There is a free bus to Haram from station.
Nusuk shows only 3 weeks in advance.

Not required. They don't ask for any vaccination. Your visa is everything. I just got back Alhamdulilah.

On a tourist visa you can stay maximum 90 days in a full year. On umrah I think it's 2 weeks

1 big and 1 hand luggage is ok, i know people who have take 2 big ones but again it depends on the security
I've been there in November for Umrah. Security didn't allow me to carry my North American standard hand luggage and check in luggage. They'd let me carry the hand luggage but put my bigger one in cargo which arrives a day later on a van.
How many kilo hand luggage is allowed or cabin size suitcase allowed ?

If the Saudi government and the majority countries have lifted the mandate of masks, there is no need pressure others to wear it especially when one is not a medical expert.
