Now that I know the technical side of the story of this mix, I like it even more. Apparently, the mixing board got completely zeroed out, just before the performance of this track, so a snapshot of the mix (created at the start of the set) was recalled. The mix was then dialed in, during the performance. That's why the vocals start out weak and quiet and get more awesome as the performance continues. Great job behind the board and on stage!
