@@wasabi_dj - thanks for the response. I own a Z2 and i had read that to use Serato I would need to use an external interface. Nice to know thats not the case with Rekordbox.
To my understanding it should run on any OS. Just follow the same principles. Download any corresponding drivers from the pioneer or native instruments website👍
@@wasabi_dj the channel meters, indicating the volume of the channels (dB). The master channel level takes the output from the mixer itself, but the channels do not take the actual volume as indication. Infact there are no mapping for indicators in rekordbox
Can you dj with only one turntable? If so, how do you set the inputs and outputs? The way I use this mixer is with Traktor pro 3 and one turntable and I have the ins n outs configured to one deck, is it the same for Redkordbox Dj?
Thanks it works but only the playlist scroll encoder doesnt work properly, if i want to scroll to the next track with only a single right turn on the playlist scroll encoder wheel it will run through all tracks until the end please help
Hey! Your video has been very helpful. Thank you for taking the time to record this. I've been able to completely map my Kontrol Z2 including the shift functions. However, I have no LED lights appearing. And when I try to edit them as you've shown for certain buttons it still doesn't work. Am I doing something wrong?

Do you need control vinyls for vinyl turntables if you want to play from laptop rekordboz with you turntables and traktor z2 ? And if yes do I need traktor control vinyls or rekordbox vinyls?
what if the midi button on rekordbox is grayed out and will not open no matter how many times I click on it? edit: DAMN YOU SUBSCRIPTIONS, DAMN YOUUUUU

thank you for the feedback, no you do not need an external sound interface. The Z2 mixer has a built-in interface.

Just make sure the latency is set correct so that you dont get any lag

That is correct, unfortunately not everything can not be mapped. But im sure playing without it, is not that difficult

Did you need to use a separate dvs interface to make this work? Or does the built in sound card in the z2 work?
The built-in sound card worked just fine
for fx on when I set it up as toggle, there sometimes I have to press two times then it works.. and does your headphones cue work?
You will need to change from toggle to trigger. the headphone cue works when using it with Traktor z2 audio settings.
@@wasabi_dj when I use Traktor z2 as audio then output for headphones only master left/right or monitor left/right?

Yes i would think that would be a requirement. But you should have control vinyls that came with your z2 mixer
