- We all know the FCC banned cigarette commercials back in 1971. But what if they were to be revived, or were never banned, and started to follow the practice of "truth in advertising?" We just might get something like this, showing how smoking can actually kill you, and it's actually pretty funny!

If anyone wants context,this is from episode 51 of Pinky and the Brain, Which could be considered the "Very Special Episode" of the series, as it discusses tobacco consumption, And they did not skip on any detail in terms of hanfling the topic.
Long story short, Brain becomes the mascot of the tobacco company they tested on him earlier, and two vital conflicts of the episode revolve Brain getting a tobacco addiction from the experiments, and Pinky concerned about Brain pushing it way too far with this new plan due to the dangers the company could potentially bring, Specially the cigars being smoked by children.

@@NB-gu9rs the point of the skit is that each new series of activities is more effeminate than the last. going shopping and having buttered scones weren't the shocking part, they were the small dip of one's toe into the pool before the cannon ball.

A clear reference to Winstons, and the bonafide Flintstones commercial for them, where Fred Flinstone and Barney sit down after mowing the lawn, in full animation, and not only praise the cigarettes, but are animated lighting and smoking them, singing *Winstons taste good like a-* two clicks of a lighter- *cigarette should*. Here, they're clever by replacing the appealing lighter clicking with a cough, and directly calling back to Winstons with "cigarette *ought*". Wonderful joke for the adults sitting with their 90s kid.
